Card Rulings:Mekk-Knight Red Moon
OCG Rulings
- Q: When activating the effect of "Mekk-Knight Red Moon" that destroys a face-up monster in its column, can I target "Mekk-Knight Red Moon" itself?
- A: A face-up "Mekk-Knight Red Moon" is always a card in its own column, so it can be targeted with its own effect.[1]
- Q: "Mekk-Knight Red Moon" is face-up in my Main Monster Zone, and "Mekk-Knight Indigo Eclipse" is face-up in my opponent's Main Monster Zone in the same column. If I activate the effect of "Mekk-Knight Red Moon" and target my opponent's "Mekk-Knight Indigo Eclipse", but my opponent chains the effect of "Mekk-Knight Indigo Eclipse" and moves it to a different column, how does the effect resolve?
- A: In this scenario, if the placement of the targeted monster ("Mekk-Knight Indigo Eclipse" in this case) changes to a different Main Monster Zone when the effect of "Mekk-Knight Red Moon" resolves, so that it is no longer in the same column as that "Mekk-Knight Red Moon", it is still destroyed.[2]
