Q&A Rulings

A: Even if the targeted monster is in face-down Defense Position when the effect of "Orcust Knightmare" resolves, you still send a DARK Machine-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. In this case, although the targeted monster cannot gain any ATK, you still cannot Special Summon monsters except DARK monsters for the rest of this turn.[2]
  • Q: "Orcustrated Babel" is face-up in my Field Zone, and its effect that allows me to activate the effects of "Orcust" monsters as Quick Effects is applying. In this situation, can I activate the effect of "Orcust Knightmare" during the Damage Step?
A: If the effect of "Orcustrated Babel" is applying and you activate the effect of "Orcust Knightmare" as a Quick Effect, you can do so during the Damage Step. (It can only be activated at the start of the Damage Step or before damage calculation.)[3]
