OCG Rulings

  • The text that states this card cannot be Normal Summoned/Set and must be Special Summoned by the effect of "Assault Mode Activate" is not an effect. Also, even if this card was sent to the GY after being Special Summoned by the effect of "Assault Mode Activate", it cannot be Special Summoned with "Monster Reborn", etc.[1]
  • This card's effect that negates an opponent's monster's Summon is a Quick Effect. (It does not target.)[1]
  • If this effect is activated when your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s), it must be when your opponent is performing a Special Summon that does not start a Chain such as a Synchro Summon, Xyz Summon, Link Summon, or Pendulum Summon. (It cannot be chained to an effect that Special Summons monsters.)[1]
  • This card's effect that Special Summons a "T.G. Halberd Cannon" from your GY is a Trigger Effect. (It targets 1 "T.G. Halberd Cannon" in your GY, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]

Q&A Rulings

A: In this scenario, the effect of "T.G. Halberd Cannon/Assault Mode" resolves while the effect of "Imperial Iron Wall" that prevents players from banishing cards is applying. In that case, the Synchro Summon of "Stardust Dragon" is negated, but it is not banished and is sent to the GY instead. If there are other Special Summoned monsters present on your opponent's field, they are neither banished nor sent to the GY. Also, if the effect of "Imperial Iron Wall" is already applying, the first effect of "T.G. Halberd Cannon/Assault Mode" cannot be activated.[2][3]
