Q&A Rulings
- Q: My "Vector Scare Archfiend" destroys my opponent's "Ally of Justice Enemy Catcher" by battle, then I activate its effect and Special Summon "Ally of Justice Enemy Catcher" from the Graveyard to a Main Monster Zone that "Vector Scare Archfiend" points to. After that, if "Compulsory Evacuation Device" is activated before "Vector Scare Archfiend" attacks a second time, and returns "Ally of Justice Enemy Catcher" to the hand, can "Vector Scare Archfiend" still attack again?
- A: When you Special Summon a monster to your opponent's Monster Zone by the effect of "Vector Scare Archfiend", "Vector Scare Archfiend" is able to attack a second time during this Battle Phase, but it does not have to attack that Special Summoned monster. Therefore, in this scenario, if the monster Special Summoned by the effect of "Vector Scare Archfiend" leaves the field before the second attack, "Vector Scare Archfiend" can attack a different monster (or directly, if there are no other monsters on your opponent's field.)[1]
