* As this card prevents either sides from [[Tribute|tributing]] cards for any means, this card can be used to prevent the opponent from using "[[Kaiju]]" monsters or "[[Nibiru, the Primal Being]]" against you.

* For an emergency defense, you can summon Fog King without tributes, and play [[Zerozerock]]. If your opponent's deck relies heavily on tributes, like [[Hieratic]] decks, this stall strategy will also hurt them a lot.

* This card is ideal in any [[Beatdown Deck]].

* This card is useful against "[[Monarch (series)|Monarch]]", "[[Gishki]]" and "[[Hieratic]]" Decks.

* This card can singlehandedly shut down a "[[Kaiju]]" deck, as they will be unable to summon any "Kaiju" monsters on the field except using "[[Kaiju Capture Mission]]".

* Use cards that normally have high ATK, but have lower ATK when Summoned a certain way, to Tribute Summon this card. Such examples include "[[Beast King Barbaros]]" and "[[Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast]]".

* Special Summon "[[Rocket Arrow Express]]" and Tribute it to Summon this card.

* This card can be retrieved from the Graveyard with "[[Salvage]]".

* "[[Turbo Synchron]]" can easily Special Summon this card from your hand, to be used for a Level 8 Synchro Summon.
** Use "[[Urgent Tuning]]" to immediately Synchro Summon during the same Battle Phase you you the effect of "Turbo Synchron".

* Special Summon this card via the effect of "[[Debris Dragon]]" or "[[Masked Chameleon]]", then Synchro Summon "[[Star Eater]]".

* Combo with "[[Diffusion Wave-Motion]]", especially if you Tributed monsters with high ATK for this card's Tribute Summon.

* Combo with "[[Soul Exchange]]", especially since this card will gain the ATK of your opponent's Tributed monster.

* After you use the battle damage effect of "[[Gorz the Emissary of Darkness]]", during your next turn, you can Tribute both monsters to Tribute Summon this card with a very high ATK.
** Alternatively, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, then Xyz Summon a Rank 7 monster with this card and "Gorz".

* Combo this card with "[[Secret Village of the Spellcasters]]", "[[Royal Decree]]" and "[[Destiny HERO - Plasma]]" to create a virtual lockdown, barring effects that activate in the hand or Graveyard, as well as attacks.
* Combined with "[[March of the Monarchs]]", this card can be devastating in a Monarch Mirror Match.

==Traditional Format==
* This card can be searched by "[[Last Will]]" and "[[Witch of the Black Forest]]".

* If your opponent summons a "[[Grinder Golem]]" or "[[Lava Golem]]" to your side of the field, [[Tribute]] it to get a 3000 ATK monster (more if you already have a monster on the field). This will save a lot of hassle, especially if they're planning on using a combo like "[[Ring of Destruction]]" to inflict massive damage.
