Vaskii Vs Remove Revenge

If i use Vaskii's effect against an opponent's monster which states "destroy 1 face-up monster the opponent controls" can my opponent use Remote Revenge to change the target to one of my own? Remote Revenge states "Switch the target to an approopriate monster your opponent controls." StardustDarkness 14:38, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
