May I know how long does the effect of 'Invasion of Flames' last? Here's the lore: When this card is Normal Summoned successfully, no Trap Cards can be activated.
no traps can be activated in response to the summon, i guess.Mini neos 18:55, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
It only means in response to the summon. Basically, you can't activate "Trap Hole" or "Torrential Tribute".
You can't respond to the Summon with any Trap Cards, not just those that need to be activated in response to the summon. Cards like "Ring of Destruction" can't be activated. Lastly, if Spell/Monster effects activate in response to the summon, Trap Cards can't be chained to them.
For example, you summon "Invasion of Flames" and activate "Mystical Space Typhoon" in response. Your opponent can't activate Trap Cards in response to "Mystical Space Typhoon".

Can trap cards be activated during battle phase? --218.111.217.219 07:52, 25 May 2008
Yes. It only applies to when "Invasion of Flames" is Normal Summoned.
Second try at explaining it: if it's still possible to activate "Trap Hole" to destroy "Invasion of Flames", you can't activate Trap Cards.
