Forum:Bad Reaction of Shimoshi vs. Solemn Wishes

ok, so, here it is how it happened: It was my friends turn, so i played SOLEMN WISHES, then, during my turn, before i'd drawn, he played Bad Reaction of Shimoshi, so, i lost 500LP, so he said, is he right? isn't there a way around it?

Two things:

  • You're opponent can't do anything before you draw. He can activate Bad Reaction during his End Phase (if he didn't set it that turn), or let you draw & gain Life Points, and THEN activate it.
  • You'd lose 500 LP whenever you draw. The only way around it is to negate (e.g. Jinzo) or destroy (e.g. MST) either or both cards. --Deus Ex Machina 21:12, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
  • You can't activate a card before you draw a card during your Draw Phase. It is the first thing that has to happen in the turn, no cards can be activated before it by any plater. He could also not chain at this point, since Solemn Wishes is a Continuous Trap Card, and the effect does not start a chain. He would have to activate Simochi after Solemn Wishes gives you 500 Life Points.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 21:14, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

also?

bunnehs hijacking yet another responce (if theres been one yet) i have been told during tournaments, that you could chain the drawing of the card during the draw phase

im probably wrong but i hope it helps

bunneh out

  • AFAIK Drawing is not something you can chain to. Danny Lilithborne 06:11, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

You can respond to it (which means you to something after the draw), but not "chain". --Deus Ex Machina 07:09, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

(bunneh) ah thanks guys :) but he could have played it during his end phase if he had set it before that turn
