What if the target for this card happens to be Solemn Judgment? Does Solemn Judgment activate normally and negates Bait Doll? Teddy 17:35, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

"Solemn Judgment" has to be chained directly to a spell card for it's effect to activate. So if "Solemn Judgment" is activated by the effect of "Bait Doll"s resolution it does nothing and it is destroyed and "Bait Doll" is returned to the deck. The only way to activate "Solemn Judgment"s effect is to chain it to "Bait Doll" and negate it's effect. ATEMVEGETA 19:27, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

solem would be forced to activate cause of baitdolls effect, so you would still have to pay solems effect (half your lifepoints) then baitdoll would be negated and destroyed

  • No, you have to actively chain it as ATEMVEGETA said above. Otherwise the timing is incorrect, as counter trap cards have to counter something to do anything, and since Bait Doll has already resolved, forcing the activation of Solemn Judgment, is there anything for Solemn to negate anymore? Please do not comment if you don't know the rulings properly, or at least say you're not sure. --Darth Covah 20:41, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
