Beating Six Samurai and getting back into yu-gi-oh with all the strongest, newest, best tier cards.

Ok, so recently i've been playing one of my friends in yu-gi-oh. He has a six samurai and legendary six samurai deck/warrior deck. He uses these fairly new cards while i use the proper old cards from the original yu-gi-oh series. I have a few decks and none of them are from GX or 5D's or Zexal. The only new cards i have are from boosters although i don't use them in my deck and then i have my one The Agents deck. I've got three XYZ monsters from that starter deck back from 2011. Anyways he has all those samurai monsters and uses the maruding captain lock and stuff. He has all these next cards that go well with his samurai deck. I basically never beat him and it's annoying me becuase i always used to be the yu-gi-oh guy. So what i wanted to know or get help with is this: Can any of you give me a full deck that can counter the six samurai or come to think of it just a tier 1 deck like those spellbook/prophecy, wind-up, mermail/atlantean decks. I have been researching on this very yu-gi-oh wikia and online too. I really want to have a tier 1 deck that is like one of the strongest decks ever. I want it mainly so i can beat my friend's six samurai deck but also i thought i might as well start playing competitively, this way with my new deck i can beat my friend's six samurai and any other new decks that people use. So can you give me a list of decks that are very strong and/or the newest ones. I've been on the wikia and online and found out about the new judgement of light and number hunter monsters. At first i was like i wanted to have the newest of the new cards here in London so i can do well and stuff. I thought if i'm going to spend money buying cards i might as well make it a good deck that i can use in competitive play.So can you lot give me a list of the newest decks, most strongest decks and most highest tier decks. Well i guess the strongest will be the most highest tier 1 decks. Weather i have to buy cards individually through boosters and build a whole new deck or weather i can start off with a structer deck or some kind of deck or collecters tin and then modify them. Can all of you give me all the strategies that i would be able to use with the decks and how much and/or where i can get the cards from. For example i have finally googled all this stuff and know what all these archfiends and stuff are. So i think i found out that mermail/atlantean decks, wind-up decks, fire-fists, geargia and spellbook/prophecy are all the five tier 1 decks. So basically how do i make these decks and how do i make them unbeatble as well as what are their strategies. At first i thought i would get all the cards that were recently released but then i released that just beacause cards are new doesn't mean they are the best, because it said that wind-up are still tier 1 after all these years. Meanign they must be old. So i just want a tier 1 unbeatable deck that would DEFO BE ABLE TO BEAT SIX SAMURAI. Earlier i saw that the mermail/atlantean had like 20/30 cards with those titles in their names, basically being archfiends. So can you include a deck list with all of those archfiends and stuff. I'm not a noob from yu-gi-oh, i've been into it since i was really young, since the beginning. I know this post is most likely really confusing and all over the place not to mention that i am asking alot of you people but yeah, any contributions will be helpful and please and thank you in advance. P.S. Is there any ligit websites without viruses where i can play yu-gi-oh online with all the latest cards. This way if theres a good deck that i find, if it's really expensive i can try it out online first against the 6 sam and strongest decks to see if its good and if i can play it properly, then i would buy it. Because i don't want all this time and money that i spend to go to waste and have a rubbish deck. Thanks for helping and going through the trouble of reading all of this. :D Dark ninja 786 (talkcontribs) 22:24, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

First of all, cookie cutting/netdecking is frowned upon and you should be ashamed at trying to take someone else's efforts as your own. Second, to make a good deck, you'd have to probably spend upwards of $500 USD, depending on which tier 1 you wish to use. Third, almost any deck can be good, you just have to balance it right? You want to beat Six Samurais? Use a Skill Drain deck or one that stalls special summons. There are more ways to be good than using the same reprehensible cookie cutter decks running rampant these days. That being said, you should find an archetype or deck concept (skill drain, burn, mill) that fits your style more. Once you find your deck type, tinker with it, use YGOPro or (I can't believe I'm recommending this) Duelingnetwork.com if you can't download the program. Once you've tested it enough and you like the fit, check how much it costs. If it's too pricy, then keep testing and trying new decks until you find the one right for you. I've won plenty of regional events, and I've never once used a deck even ranked in a tier. Jet-Black Nova (talkcontribs) 23:16, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Jet Black Nova, i generally have no idea what you are talking about when you are talking about cookie-cutting ior something. Basically i don't understand your first point, i didn't take noone's credits if i did then i am sorry, i didn't realise because i have no idea what i am doing right now to tell the truth, i was just trying to ask a question and get some help. Also, yh i just found out about duelling network and signed up literally just now by finding out about it from a youtube video. Oh yh and i'll look at the YGOpro thing you are talking about too. BTW i always make my own decks from scratch. The only deck i basically used is my 'the agents deck whioch i have miodifies from the starter pack. So i always just make mixed decks with just random monsters and traps and all that stuff and it ends up being good. I have a dragon deck, fairy deck, mixed deck and i tried making a anti-mneta deck to counter my friends warrior/six sam deck but it failed miserably. I had done my research and i put in cards of mass destruction (dark hole, TT and MF) and i even bought a kinetic soildier and stuff and i basically tried as hard as i could with the cards i already had only buyinjg like 1/2 cards. Yeah, i've heard of the card or maybe cards called skill drain so i'll do some more research ionto that. Btw i've never heard of burn and mill decks but i will just try researching them. But do you have any examples of decks that stall special summoning that i could uselike you were saying? Yh so for now i finally discovered DN and signed up so i can practice there, i heard you can make any decks u want on there so i'll try the different decks out on there to see if their any good. BTW I have basically been researchign yu-gi-oh for the past like 6 hours with breaks and stuff and i went to open my fast but yh. I found out that one of the best decks around right now is mermail/atlantean. They are tier 1 and i'm also going to check out spellbook/prophecy decks. I think mermail/atlantean might be better because more ppl have put them in their predicted top 10 from march 2013 lists. Although alot of ppl have them now, because they have been out since march and prophecy decks still have that lightning booster coming out that i think boosts its power so it might be better. I tried tournaments at londons mcm like a few years back but lost to ppl using some next buffed up new decks with sick strategies. So thanks for the help, i'll try out the stuff you recommended and also the prophecy/spellbook deck. Although i don't wanna spend that much money because tbh i dont even have a lot of money. Oh yh so do you have any ideas of special summon stalling decks? I Swear i'm probsz going to end up buying cards but never again after. After when i get one good deck like maybe mermail/atlantean or sopellbook/prophecy then i'll just use my decks that i already have to compete and win more cards to sell maybe.Dark ninja 786 (talkcontribs) 01:18, August 4, 2013 (UTC)
