since the discarding part of "beckoning light" is not a cost as stated in the rulings, it must be part of the effect which occurs at its resolvage? and as such, would trigger the summoning effect(s) of dark world/fabled monster(s) like silva and goldd. yeah?

nope read their effects again. "If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by your opponent's card effect, " since beckoning light discards your own cards than the dark world monsters would not be discarded by your opponents effect and thus their effects would not activate. The effects of Dark World monsters like those of Sillva and Goldd to special summon themselves will activate when they are discarded by your Beckoning Light. The effects which specify 'your opponent's card effect' will not activate if you control Beckoning Light, but you probably already knew that.--DarwinDawkins09 18:21, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
