Forum:Budget Deck

I had a look around at my collection for some Celestias (I have 20) when I saw 3 Spell Strikers next to a LaDD and Monarchs. After about 3 hours, I decided to build a Monarch deck. Warning: Due to the cost of my Lightsworn and Gladiator Beast decks being stupidly high lately, please suggest cards no more than £30 because my next lump of money will be in the new year. I can't decide between Resonator or Krebons so help me with that too.

Monarch (Not Oppresion Monarch because I have no Royal Oppresion.)

resonator or krebons

Reasonator is a funky little fiend. 1300 means it works well with shrink (Monarchs, Jinzo, Gladiator Beasts and PMD.). Level three means it doesn't go with the high level monsters except Cyber Dragon but him+striker+frog= Goyo Guardian and if I play my cards right, a LaDD or Monarch next turn. Sangan can grab this guy but then, Sangan can grab every level 4 or less monster in this deck. Tomatos are for a free tribute and to grab Reasonator for synchro or Sangan to grab Nimble or Treeborn to summon the tributes and provide defence.

Forgot Spell Striker was Level 3 so in the Reasonator+Treenborn+Striker= Goyo Guardian, ignor the frog.

• I prefer krebons due to its negation effect and the usefulness to be teleported. However, if u want to place a krebons instead of a reasonator, u nid 1 more emergency teleport. Furthermore, krebons and psychic commander are valid teleport targets so u can choose btw lvl 2 or 3. Oh ya b4 I forgot to say, add 1 more threatening roar and 1 torrential tribute instead of 2 shrink. I dont know why but shrink kind of sux lately due to its incapability to stack with itself. Maybe u can replace the shrinks with 2 allure too but the cost of allure in TCG should be quite high. Crystal88884 08:38, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

That's true

After testing, I'm agreeing with Crystal about the extra tuner and Teleport. I like the extra roar (If my brother didn't have a trad format DDT.) and TT but I'll go for Allure in two (because I already have two, looking for a third.).

Krebon may cost 800 but it is better than being invincible once per turn.
