Forum:Buying 5D Structures

I am interested in buying several of the 5D structure decks. However, I'm not able to obtain more than a few booster packs for I don't live remotely close to anywhere that sells yu-gi-oh cards. I heard that you can make a decent deck by buying the several copies of the same deck, is that true?

Also, I already have pretty good beat down deck, but I'm interesting in buying something different in terms of game play. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Chayce 00:49, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

my advice

hey. its possible to make a good deck by buying multiples of the same deck, for example, i bought 2 machine revolt structure decks (SD10) and removed certain cards and added i few that fit better, and it was a very strong deck. i've seen people buy multiple spellcasters command Structure decks and made a powerful endymion deck too. it depends on what you want to focus on, but the best thing to do is not just look at 5d decks but at originals too. If you don't live close to anywhere that sells an abundance of yugioh cards, just order online from retailers. Trollandtoad.com is pretty cheap, same with gatheringground but gathering is a bit expensive on the shipping. hope that helps.

Best Structures to use

Hey, what's up? Now at days, only a few structure decks seem to be any good in a tournament. These are the The Dark Emperor, Spellcaster's Command and The 1st 5d's Starter Deck. Three of each can make a decent enough deck on its own. The Dark emperor set up causes big damage to many meta decks since they require a grave to work with. Spellcaster's command uses spell counters to use powerful effects though, with this set, you will need synchros that work with them which means getting those cards outside of the deck. The starter gives you a so so deck that can make full use of junk warrior and the even more powerful colossal fighter. What i can give you is a deck list for each deck mentioned. I hope it helps.--Duelest 101 18:01, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

How i set this up

The lists will have monster, spells, traps, and extra deck included. cards not in the deck itself will be marked with an asterisk "*".

The Dark Emperor

Monsters22

Spells14

Traps7

Extra Deck7 "All cards must be added from outside this deck"

So with this deck, would you focus more on summoning syncros with Krebons and using DD monsters to allow the syncros attack directly? Chayce 21:53, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

that's the gist of it. just be careful when using stardust. in a dd deck, its effect is a one time thing--Duelest 101 21:54, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Spellcaster's Command

Monsters21

Spells17

Traps5

Extra Deck "all cards must be added from outside this deck"

5D's Starter

Monsters21

Spells14

Traps7

Extra Deck15

My choice

Go for the starter deck. i say this bc i love junk warrior and the deck list i gave you, is one of my own decks that i use. i hope this helped--Duelest 101 18:31, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
