Forum:Convulsion of Nature Discussion

So, we were going through some old cards, and Convulsion of Nature pops up. This got us interested in making a deck exploiting the abilities of said card. What cards are around that work well with being able to see the cards you and your opponent draw?

Okay, that's a good start. But we need some stuff that's not on the wiki page.

I have no idea what you mean by "not on the wiki page", but it's good for Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude.--Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 03:16, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

He means cards that aren't already on the Tips page.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 03:56, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

I think Mind on Air can be a good card to see what your opponent can draw and maybe Respect Play. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 08:44, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Abyssal Designator maybe. Infernity Randomizer because you will know what you'll get. Reversal Quiz will help definitly. That's all on my mind for now. Adamtheamazing64 (talkcontribs) 15:36, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

I have to agree that Convulsion of Nature is one funny card though. Pikeru's Second Sight and Senri Eye isn't bad to add too. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 20:35, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Eradicator Epidemic Virus works too. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 22:07, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Adam, Reversal Quiz does NOT work with Convulsion of Nature. And I quote - "Send all cards in your hand and on your side of the field to the Graveyard." That includes Convulsion. Once it goes to the graveyard, its effect is done and gone, so your deck and your opponent's deck are both back to normal, and you can't see the top card anymore. A good card that can protect Convulsion is cards that negate and Card Guard. Unfortunately there was another spell card that protect this card but I forgot. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 07:52, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Magic Reflector is what you're thinking of. Runer5h (talkcontribs) 15:15, July 9, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Thanks! Mystical Refpanel also works when it comes out to counter MST. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 17:45, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Mystical Space Typhoon doens't target the player, only a card on that player's field, Therefore, Mystical Refpanel can't swing it around at the opponent.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 20:15, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

So Swords of Revealing Light would work, since it says (opponent)in its text, not opponent's monsters, right?--Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 21:17, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Not sure about that one, you should probably ask in the Ruling Queries forum. Anyway, back on topic... Why not make a Diamond Dude Turbo deck? You'll always know when to use Diamond Dude's effect, which will lead to some brutal combos.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 21:38, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah. Activate Short Circuit's effect in the Grave!--Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 21:49, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

It could help you use Drop Off/Drastic Drop Off at really great times. Like if your opponent is about to draw JD or something. Skullvarnish (talkcontribs) 23:27, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
