When Machina Fortress attacks Goyo Guardian, or the other way around. Will Goyo be able to obtain his effect? EXAMPLE: Goyo attacks Fortress. Fortress gets sent to the graveyard, Goyo gets turn priority, this is chain-link one right? Then Fortress's effect targets Goyo, chain-link 2. RESOLVING: Fortress effects destroys Goyo, does Goyo's effect still work since it is still resolving even when Goyo is off the field. Now what if it's the other way around? As Far as I know, Goyo Guardian needs to be face-up for it's effect to resolve properly. so in case it's destroyed before it special summons, you don't get the destroyed monster. Neos lover 10:21, May 7, 2010 (UTC)
- Goyo needs to be face-up on the field only in order to activate its effect. If he activates its effect and an effect is chained and removes him from the field, his effect resolves normally.
- In both situations the chain is:
- Chain link 1: Machina Fortress
- Chain link 2: Goyo Guardian
- So first Goyo will steal Machina Fortress, and then Machina Fortress will take revenge.
