Forum:New card type: Sequence Monsters

I've had Golden Sun on the brain so this came about. I'd like to see Monsters that hit thwe field, do whatever they're summoned for, and leave. I call them Sequence Monsters based off the Summon sequences in Golden Sun. They would be more like Ritual Monsters than Fusion or Synchro being n the main Deck over Extra. They would have a Gold frame. They exist outside the natural rules of the game. Some are attackers, some do full nuke, others heal.

Example:

Megaera Fairy/Sequence/FIRE/ATK:1500/DEF:1500

This card cannot be Special Summoned. The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Summoned lower the ATK of all the Monster on the opponent's side of the Field by 500. When this card leaves the Field, increase the ATK of all your Monsters by 500.

If you're a fan of GS then you know this Summon. If you play a Sequence Monster ita the ONLY thing you can use for that turn. It would go from Main Phase to End Phase right away. Sequence Monsters would also be able to be Quick-Play and Counter cards. Like so:

Catastrophe Fiend/Sequence/Quick-Play/WIND/ATK2500/DEF/2000 This card cannot be Special Summoned. The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Summoned destory all Monsters on the opponent's side of the Field and deal 2500 Damage to their Life Points.

Again another GS summon. I don't plan for them to be made into real cards however. Maybe refercened. Notice that he has Quick-Play. This allows him to be Normal Summoned on the opponents turn as a Spell Speed 2 effect.

Other Notes: Limit of 15 Sequences per Deck. Can only use 1 per turn and they end the Turn right away if its that players turn. If used on your opponents turn it the only thing you can use.

What do you all think? Garchomp87 (talkcontribs) 02:09, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Sounds rather interesting, as they are meant to be Quick-Play effects I think you should tone them down abit e.g. for the 2nd one rather than destroy all monsters, it should be destroy monsters = to the amount you control?

Da-yum... That's pretty cool! But yeah, you should tone them down a bit.

Tone them down how? Garchomp87 (talkcontribs) 02:35, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
