Can i use future fusion to summon odd eyes vortex dragon? If not, can you explain why? Odd eyes mnster is a title material monster, and pendulum monster is type material monster. why cannot i use future fusion for odd eyes vortex dragon? Which category, monster title or type, negates future fusion usage? Why isnt this the same as supperalloy beast raptinus with future fusion? If 2x gemini monsters are types, then odd eyes' required titled monster negates future fusion usage, (eg odd eyes in name forbidszx future fusion, not based on monster type then?). Askin becuz im totally lost with this ruling, i kno thereszx alotta restrictions, but this one i dont quite understand why. May be asking for odd eyeszx / future fusion ruling AND reason, but i need answer to apply to general fusion rulingszx, and this ruling will help explain alot, if somebody can explain EXACTLY WHY. I think i recall reading a quick ruling on this when vortex dragon first came out, but i cannot find anything now. I am totally lost with this ruling, but REALLY MORE NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHY.Vahjahjikira (talkcontribs) 19:07, September 5, 2016 (UTC)

You can use "Future Fusion" to Fusion Summon either of those monsters. However, you cannot send cards like "King of the Swamp" to the Graveyard (if you're trying to use them as a substitute for a Fusion Material), since their effects don't apply while in the Deck.
For cards like "Fusion Conscription" and "Elemental HERO Prisma", you cannot reveal "Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon" or "Superalloy Beast Raptinus", as those card effects want a specific monster name (["Odd-Eyes" monster] is not a specific name, but ["Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon"] is a specific name in the text of "Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon"). This is because those card effects don't Fusion Summon.
In the future, don't use caps lock. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:40, September 5, 2016 (UTC)
