I think you should try monsters that are not destroyed by battle like Marshmallon, Spirit Reaper, Shield Wing. To burn down the opponent for using your Royal Opression you could use Level Eater: if he negates pays 800 LP and you can reuse Level Eater as much as you want, and if he doesn't negate just tribute it for a monarch.
