Forum:Tin Goldfish vs Kagetokage

This is coming up due to a dispute on another forum when this question was presented in their ruling section. Another member stepped in to say that Tin Goldfish and Kagetokage could be chained in resolved in a case of SEGOC. I disagreed due to both monsters having 'When... You can...' effects that require both monsters to be the last thing to happen to properly resolve, resulting either in Tin's special summon, or Kage's summon to the field. Which would be the actual result and why would it be correct. I am looking to get an answer that is understandable so that I can relay it back to the site in question to settle the matter there. - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 21:37, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

Just went to do a little extra looking into this for myself so that I could at least try to figure out where the other party was coming from. Only reason that it seems possible is due to both Tin and Kage both having the same activation timing, which does create a chain (if created properly) would allow for both Tin Goldfish and Kagetokage to both resolve with their respective summons. - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 21:50, June 8, 2013 (UTC)
They are both optional Trigger effects that react to the same thing. This "thing" is the Normal Summon. It's no different from 2 "Mystic Tomato"s destroying each other by battle. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:57, June 8, 2013 (UTC)
That's what I came to after going to take another look at the page here on Optional Monster Effects. Just wanted the confirmation to make sure that the issue was settled on the other site. - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 22:04, June 8, 2013 (UTC)
