Forum:What are peoples thoughts on scrap iron scarecrow?

in my opinion this card is just too cheap, it beats the effect of swords of revealing light, negate attack and all other blocker cards, its basically a perma negate attack on the field, i believe this card should be at least limited or at the most banned since it basically puts all the current blocking cards out of use not counting scrap iron scarecrow Freezydragon 00:44, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Hmmmm. I'm not sure you know how this card works. You can only negate one attack per turn with this card. Sure, this is good but far from being a permanent negate attack.

the odd thing is that it doesnt say it negates just one attack and ive been in multiple duels against this card and my opponent would just use this card over and over so its kind of confusing at times Freezydragon 07:06, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Just to be sure:

You can NOT use it more than once per turn. After being used it's SET again. When you SET something you can't use it for the rest of the turn. That's basic rules you should have learned when everyone was still using Dark Magician and Gate Guardian and Steel Scorpions.--Psychosocial 14:39, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

the thing is that even though this card is decent (not good just decent) based on how its played. it does say that u can use it and block an attack then set it and with it being set resets it for the turn so pretty much all its doing is blocking 1 monster which is ok IF your opponent has one monster or just one really big one. limited or banned? no. now i remember reading that there is a card that allows you to play trap cards the turn their set so if that's the case than yea it can be just one big negate attack. getting the chance to pull that off is likely but not in the same time cuz if that situation comes up, your opponent is going to just wait until they have something to get rid of one of the two. and with the new ban list coming up in a couple months and i almost put money on breaker being banned again with the new spellcaster deck and cards coming. then it might be a possiblity. as for me with mirror force,negate attack, waboku, defense draw, and necro gardna out there to back me up and so many people who i've notice that always keep mst in main deck and a couple twister or dust tornado in side not to mention the increasing number of backfield destruction monsters are getting i think that this cards play numbers will drop but still keep fairly decent. personally i wouldn't play to make this short. but thats just me no reason to even put it close to the list.
