The Gusto monsters, or Gusta in the OCG, are an Archetype released in Duel Terminal - Raid of the Inverz!!. Their name is based on the word "Gust" and their team symbol is a colored disc with a silver whirlwind. Their Synchro Monsters, the Daigusto, seem to be the combined Levels of the two monsters that appear in the artworks. They recently also got some Xyz Monsters called "Daigusto Phoenix" and "Daigusto Emeral".
All known Gusto monsters are WIND so they can use WIND support cards such as "Spiritual Wind Art - Miyabi", and be Special Summoned by "Flying Kamakiri #1". The archetype consists of Winged Beast, Psychic, and Thunder-Type monsters. Only Winged Beast-Type "Gusto" monsters and "Gusto Skwirl" are Tuner Monsters and all of the Synchro Monsters have "Daigusto" in their names. Although the archetype requires monsters in the grave for some of their effects to be used, a good Gusto deck does not need the support of sending cards to the Graveyard quickly, unlike with "Lightsworn". Thus, cards like "Foolish Burial" and Lightsworn monsters are not necessary. Since the deck has its own set of recruiters, you will fill up your graveyard with just the right amount of monsters that you need without relying on milling.
The archetype's main strategy is to set up field prescence almost entirely based on tightening their defense and keeping it at levelload the Graveyard, this is done by using since most of Gusto archetype support require to shuffle certain amount of Gusto monsters to the 3 Deck in order to activate (usually 2). This deck's main recruiters; defense consisting of its searcher trio: "Winda, Priestess of Gusto", "Gusto EgulGulldo" and "Gusto GulldoEgul", they which can shield attacks and replace themselves as continuously search for one another Gusto monsterfrom your Deck when they're destroyed in battle, it also allows and at the summon of same time putting them in the Graveyard for effects such as "Caam, Serenity of Gusto" , which can recycle your gusto shuffle 2 Gusto monsters to the Main Deck, and act as draw a Draw enginecard. The deck's mindset is Due to hold still and use the opponent's strenght against itselfthis synergy, oftenly the Gusto monsters won't play offensively until the situation allows it. Even thought Gusto is a Synchro-based deck it's not recommended to base it solely on the idea of Synchro summoning due to the requirement of card advantage decks can be quite flexible in most of the situation to maintain cases, as long as you can maintaining the deck's stabilitycycle.
"Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto" is a special monster with a useful effect, it allows you to exchange 1 Gusto monster you control for one monster your opponent controlls controls of you your choice. Use with the trio searcher mentioned above (except Winda due to the toolbox strategy of the gustocard's wording), once those are destroyed in battle they may summon a you can easily maintaining Field Advantage while having your opponent's monster for yourself to your side abuse. To Summon this card easily (Note that due to the wording in Winda's effecther being Level 5), you can't activate ituse "Gusto Thunbolt"'s effect when it is swapped)."Creature Swap" is also highly reccomendedrecommended, specially and is useful if you choose not to run don't have Reeze on the board, or can be used together with Reeze.
"Windaar, Sage of Gusto" is a Gusto monster with a decent 2000 ATK value for its effect, which allows you to summon one of your that can Special Summon any low-leveled Gusto monsters monster in grave each time it destroys a your Graveyard whenever he destroy monster by in battle. Unfortunately, allowing options for high leveled Synchro monsters or he is Level 6, thus it will somehow difficult to increase field advantage, both monsters Windaar and Reeze Summon him. You can be summoned easily by use "Gusto Codor" after this one destroys a monster by battle and sends it "Gusto Thunbolt" to the graveyardSummon this card easily, although it's attack value may seem poor it can prove to be handy if you swapped one Gusto monster to your opponent's sideand also has high synergy when combined with Reeze.
Gusto's ace card monster is "Daigusto Sphreeze", this card which can bring you back any gusto Gusto card from your grave to your hand, and itGraveyard when she's effect makes Synchro Summoned. Not only that, she can also reflect all the battle damage Battle Damage involving any and all Gusto monster you control to your gusto monsters be reflected to opponent when they battles, effectively turning their weakness (low ATK) into sudden disadvantage for your opponent while also being impervious to battle destruction, summoning it's tricky sometimes due to the level requierements and may sometimes requiere 3 monsters but once it is summoned is a major threat to heavily offensive decksespecially for aggresive ones.
Despite the deck itself is Synchro-oriented, it is advised that most Gusto decks should not be focusing on Synchro Summoning, because in most cases, you don't gain many advantage from Daigusto monsters, often the loss outweighs the gain (unlike T.G. or Synchrocentric decks, which gains advantage from them). The only Synchro Monster that is recommended to run is "Daigusto Sphreeze" (mentioned above), and "Daigusto Gulldos" Overall Gusto decks are naturally passive and play resilently, but in the right hands they can overcome surprise an unwary opponent without making lots of playsefforts.

Gust Valley
This build uses Gusto monster in conjuction conjunction with some key cards of the "Mist Valley" deck to accelerate both decks, the deck uses Mist valley cards such as the swarming measure and uses the gusto as the protective wall, it may help to compensate the dependance of Mist valley decks of their field spell "Divine Wind of Mist ValleyFalcon", with the ability of mist valley to bounce . Falcon's effect can be useful for recycling defensive cards to the hand cards like such as "Swords of Revealing Light" and "Gravity BindFiendish Chain", and "Genex Ally Birdman " can be used to add even more defensive outputoffer both offensive and Synchro Summon capability, balancing the deck.

This build combines Gusto monsters along with some staple DARK monsters to eventually Summon "Dark Simorgh". While Gusto recruiters load the WIND monster in the Graveyard, cards like "D.D. Crow", "Tragoedia", "Armageddon Knight"/"Dark Grepher", "Destiny Hero - Malicious" can help setting combos both for Synchro Summoning and load DARK monsters in the Graveyard for Dark Simorgh's Summoning. You can also try another alternativecombination, such as with Blackwings, but it is advised not to use "Dark Armed Dragon" due to it often become dead draws.

Dragunity Dragonic Gusto
Similar to the Mist Valley variantMade from combination between Gusto and Dragunity monsters, this deck uses use Dragunity monsters in a gusto deckengines for Synchro Summon and offensive capability, while the Gustos act as defensive support. "Gusto Grif" is the accelerator piece here, with cards like as it can be discarded for "Dragon Ravine" 's effect and Special Summoning a Gusto monster for extending Dux-Phalanx combo. For accelerating Gusto engines as well, "Dragunity Knight - Gae DeargLegionnaire" you can discard be combined with "Gusto GrifDragunity Phalanx" very effectively.Much like like Mist valley, Dragunity is dependant of its Field spell to make major playsSynchro Summon "Vortex the Whirlwind", the which in turn can searches "Gusto Gulldo" or "Gusto Egul" when it is destroyed by battle. This build in the deck makes it less reliant on that can also utilize "Icarus Attack" and with the recruiters it gives time to set up the offensive plays of the deck"Spiritual Wind Art - Miyabi" for more disruption.
Monster Cards
* Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana
* Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg
* Stardust DragonVortex the Whirlwind* Any level 8 Synchro Monsters
Gusto OTK
This deck is no longer to be played in Advanced formats due to the absence of "Mind Master", which is now banned, Mind Master can tribute Psychic-type monsters to summon others, while in conjuction with Caam, Serenity of Gusto it can recyle the tributed monster to draw cards easily, this allows Exodia and Full Salvo OTK plays.
Brain Research Lab is used ===Weakness===Offensively, they themselves are quite fragile, because most of their monster have ATK below average, making them unsuitable for battling face-to play Mind Master-face with opponent's eff with no cost, however if it were to be removed from the field it would severely injure the player, evem resulting in selfdestruct, monster (except when you control "Sphreeze can be discarded to fearlessly play this strategy.")
===Weakness===OffensivelySince this deck's strategy is Graveyard-reliant, Macro-based decks can shut this deck down completely. "Transmigration Break", they themselves are quite fragilecombined with "Poisonous Wind" can effectively put this deck in a deadlock, since most of the Gusto support cards need a certain amount of Gusto monsters in the Graveyard. Gravekeeper deck can also cripple this deck easily, due to their monster have an attack value below average"Necrovalley" forbids any access to the Graveyard, however making recycling impossible. "Archlord Kristya", "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo" and other anti-Special Summon cards can cripple this deck easily, due to the requirement of constantly Special Summoning monsters for both defense and Graveyard setup. "Mystical Space Typhoon" and "Dust Tornado" can handle threats from Field and Continuous Spell/Trap Cards, while you can be used to your advantage get rid of "Archlord Kristya" using "Dimensional Prison" or "Bottomless Trap Hole".
Since this deck's strategy is Graveyard-reliant, Macro-based decks can shut this deck down completely. "Transmigration Break", combined with "Poisonous Wind" can effectively put this deck in a deadlock, since Due to most of the Gusto support cards need a certain amount of require shuffling Gusto monsters in into the Deck, they can quickly empty your Graveyard. Gravekeeper deck , and refilling it can also cripple this deck easily, due to their "Necrovalley" forbids be tough if you don't have any access to of the Graveyardsearchers trio available in your hand. If you find yourself in such a scenario, making recycling impossible. It is wise for siding more you can use "Mystical Space TyphoonGuardian Eatoss" and "Dust Tornadoes" for handling those threats. cards that stop Special summons such as Archlord Krystya are also a problem for gusto decks, if they can't special summon more copies they won't be able to thin the deck to speed it.
