It gets its name from the large tower in the center of the city with a heart adorning the top. The exact location of Heartland is unconfirmed, but is most likely somewhere in Japan. In several parts of it, it resembles [[New Domino City]], especially the pier as several highways tower over it, which may be a reference to the turbo lanes of New Domino City, or may be a sign that [[Turbo Duel]]s are being considered to take place within the ZEXAL universe. By the river, there is a place that looks like the same sight where the duel between [[Yami Yugi]] and [[Strings]] took place. The Mayor of Heartland is [[Mr. Heartland]].
Heartland will be is the setting for the [[World Duel Carnival]] that will take place later on in which is set up to find all the seriesNumbers cards and their holders.
