The Duel Runners are modeled after unicorns. The horn on each Duel Runner is a different color. [[Andre]]'s is blue, [[Breo]]'s is green and and [[Jean]]'s is red.
It is shown that Andre's Duel Runner also includes the overboost system, which gives him high speed for a short time, but later slows him down.<ref name="ep98">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's|98|ref}}</ref>
