:See, Excalibur's effect says that its ATK becomes double the original ATK, rather than its original ATK is doubled. Which means that regardless of how much you boost Excalibur, its effect will always force it into 4000 ATK unless its original ATK was modified in any way. FredCat's answer of 5000 ATK is wrong.
:On the other hand, [[Shrink]] does not eliminate boosts because it simply adjusts original ATK ("Halve the original ATK of that monster").
