In this form, neither "[[The Winged Dragon of Ra]]" nor its [[control]]ler receive [[Damage#Battle Damage|Battle Damage]]. It is reasonable to say that while in this mode, "[[The Winged Dragon of Ra]]" is effectively "immortal" since an Egyptian God is also immune to most card effects.  

The most well-known effect of "[[The Winged Dragon of Ra|The Winged Dragon of Ra's]]" Phoenix Mode is that all monster will be destroyed at the [[Costs|Cost]] of 1000 [[Life Points]]. This effect was used by [[Marik Ishtar]] during his battles with [[Joey Wheeler]] (to destroy Joey's "[[Gilford the Lightning]]" in [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 127|Ep.127]]) and [[Yugi Muto]] (to destroy Yugi's "[[Slifer the Sky Dragon]]").
