* [[Mesmeric Control]] could be activated during the opponent's turn. It reduced the [[ATK]] of 1 monster on the opponent's side of the [[field]] by 800 points.
* [[Seto Kaiba]] played this card against [[Maximillion Pegasus|Pegasus]] in [[Duelist Kingdom]]. It lowered the [[ATK]] of his Pegasus's [[Parrot Dragon]] by 800, allowing "Rude Kaiser" to destroy it.
* [[Espa Roba]] used this card against [[Rex Raptor]]'s [[Serpent Night Dragon]] in [[Battle City]]to immbolize Rex's monster, allowing Espa's "Jinzo" to destroy "Serpent Night Dragon" and win Espa the duel.
* There's also a slight redesign in the Japanese version compared to the [[TCG]] card.
