* If you're going to use this card, try Try to get as many just a few key cards (like a set of exodia) to the graveyard as early as possible.
* Using cards like [[Reasoning]], [[Magical Merchant]] or [[Painful Choice]] (in the [[Traditional Format]]) can get this card's effect to work.
* A great card to activate right before you use Exchange of the Spirit is [[Fiend Comedian]]. Its effect will either remove all cards in your opponent's Graveyard from play, then activate Exchange of the Spirit to leave your opponent with no cards in their deck, forcing them to lose on their next draw phase or Allow you to send several cards from your deck to your graveyard, potentially allowing you to use it's effect better.
