"Fleur" (French for "flower"フルール Furūru) are is a small series of cards, usually with French names, used by Sherry LeBlanc in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime. They were first released separately as Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 5 and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus promotional cards. More cards to support the strategy as a whole would only be released later in Animation Chronicle 2021 and Duelist Pack: Duelists of Whirlwind.
Playing style
This series primarily aims to Summon monsters from two groups: The WIND Synchro Monsters "Chevalier de Fleur" and "Sorciere Baronne de Fleur" were released in both , and the OCGDARK and TCGSpellcaster as video game promotional cards. Both monsters require weaker Fleurs to speed up summoning them, "Sorciere de Fleur Synchron" and "Necro Sauge de Fleur", respectively.
The playing style "Chevalier" and "Baronne" have effects that allow them to negate the activation of card effects. "Chevalier" can negate Spell/Trap Cards during its controller's turn, while "Baronne" can negate the Fleur cards focus activation of any type of card during both players' turns, but only once while it is face-up on bringing out the two powerful trump monsters that then provide either field. While "Baronne" has a protection benefit (clear advantage over "Chevalier") , they can effectively be used in conjunction by using the effect of "Baronne", which returns it to the Extra Deck to Special Summon a Level 9 or field swarming/field control option (lower monster from the GY. This allows the player to use "Chevalier" to protect themselves during their own turn from cards such as "Infinite Impermanence", and then use it to Synchro Summon "SorciereBaronne")again and reset the latter's effect, backed up by high attack power for a potentially game-winning playsince it has left the field.
===Strength===Both cards work well together in a single Fleur deckOne way to Summon them is by using "Noble Knight's Shield-Bearer". It can banish itself from the hand to add "Horse of the Floral Knights" to the hand, which allows the player to add "Noble Knight's Spearholder" to the hand, and then Fusion Summon "Centaur Mina" by using "Horse" and "Spearholder". The effect of "Centaur Mina" can Special Summon "Spearholder" back from the GY, but they equally work very well on their own and then its effect can be used to treat "Centaur Mina" as a boss Tuner monster support option for a mixed deck and have it copy the name of "Fleur Synchron" (which "Chevalier" requires). At this point, the player has two options: use both to Synchro Summon "Chevalier de Fleur" (or another Level 8 Synchro Monster); or Tribute "Spearholder" to add "D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation" to the hand, use it to Summon the banished "Shield-Bearer" and Synchro Summon "Baronne de Fleur".
An important recursive loop can be performed by adding "Sorciere" in particular works very well with Synchron-themed decks due " to the fact above combo. It is treated as "Fleur Synchron", and it can increase another monster's Level by 2. This means that "Centaur Mina" can Summon it from the hand or GY, and give the player the option to choose which monster to Synchro Summon. Since "Baronne" can be summoned without relying on Special Summon "Centaur Mina" from the GY, the player can continuously reset "Baronne" during their turns by reviving "Mina" and using it to revive "Necro FleurSynchron" at all, but then using both to Synchro Summon "Baronne" again. This will also keep triggering the effects of both "Necro Synchron" and "Mina" to Special Summon a Level 1 Plant from the Deck and destroy a face-up monster on the field. "ChevalierMina" can work too through destroy the use of opponent's monsters, but it can also destroy the Level 1 Plant "Quickdraw SynchronNecro Fleur".
"Necro Fleur" is the focus of the second part of the series. If it is destroyed, it can Special Summon "Sorciere de Fleur" from the Deck. When "Sorciere" is also capable of being Normal or Special Summoned, it can Special Summon a fairly consistent OTK deck option when combined monster from the opponent's GY. It has no costs or restrictions to the monster it can Summon, so the player can freely use the opponent's monsters as their own. "Sauge de Fleur" can further help this, since it can Special Summon itself from the hand by destroying 2 cards on the field, including 1 monster the player controls. By destroying "Necro Fleur" that and an opponent's monster, "Sorciere de Fleur" will be Summoned from the Deck and can instantly Summon the opponent's destroyed monster. The only limitation to this is also capable the fact "Necro Synchron" and "Necro Fleur" can only Special Summon their respective targets from the Deck, thus limiting the number of performing well if times they can be used. "Baronne" helps mitigate this by Special Summoning "Sorciere" from the OTK combination play GY, while "Sauge" shuffles a monster from the GY into the Deck, but the number of "Sorciere" and "Necro Fleur" in the Main Deck is blocked or disruptedstill an important thing to keep in mind.
===Weakness==="de Fleur decks " and banish tech cards (i.e"White Steed of the Floral Knights" can work as extenders for the Deck. "Fleuret" will not only Special Summon a Level 2 or lower monster from the GY (albeit with its effects negated), but also equip itself from the GY to a Synchro Monster the player controls, increasing its Chaos SorcererATKby 700. Even with its effects negated, the Level 2 monster can still be used with " and White Steed", which can Special Summons itself from the hand if the player controls a monster with that Level. Additionally, "Caius the Shadow MonarchSynchro Dilemma") in particular can stop further unite both support cards from activating as they must go groups, since it can send "Fleur Synchron" or "Necro Synchron" to the graveyard GY to trigger their effectsSpecial Summon a "Sorciere de Fleur" from the hand, so make sure you prepare for as "Necro Fleur" can only Summon it: from the Deck, and can also destroy a "Chaos HunterNecro Fleur" the player controls to bring back either "Fleur Synchron" or "Necro Synchron" is an excellent defense against this risk.
Both of these boss monster cards are The Deck can also once per turn or once off make great use effects, so they must also be carefully managed of support for the "Synchron" and protected. "SorciereNoble Knight" is particularly vulnerable with its 0 DEF and can be destroyed easily if you are careless and is especially at risk against Karakuriarchetype decks that often manipulate your monster positionings, both of which are integral part of its strategy. Also note that Since "Noble Knight's Shield-Bearer" is one of its starters, "Solemn WarningHeritage of the Chalice" can be successfully chained used to add it from the activation of Deck to the mandatory Special Summon effect of hand. "Sorciere de FleurTuning" does the same for "Necro Synchron", allowing another way for it to be quickly destroyed. Finally which also has the benefit of working with "Speeder decks and bounce tech cards ", a Level 5 Synchro Monster that can Special Summon it (i.ealong with up to 4 other "Synchron" monsters with different Levels) from the Deck, although it prevents the player from using "Centaur Mina" that turn. Aside from "Necro Fleur", another target that can be Summoned by "Necro Synchron" is "Neo-Spacian Grand MoleSpore) can ruin a Fleur deck if focused on the Fleur support cards and boss monster cards", as they which can require a high card investment to get to the field, leaving you open to attackaid in further Synchro Summons.
