* With only 31 Duels, Yusaku has Dueled the fewest times of any anime protagonist.
* Similar to [[Jaden Yuki|Jaden]], three of Yusaku's Duels ended in a [[DRAW]].
* Yusasku Yusaku is one of two anime protagonists to have never lost a Duel within the present main storyline, the other being [[Yusei Fudo|Yusei]].
* In early plans for ''Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS'', Yusaku was going to be a newcomer to ''Duel Monsters'', which would have fit the show's original theme of "Take a step forward and try".{{citation needed}} This was changed before the series was released.
* Yusaku is the first protagonist whose Deck centers around a new monster Type (in this case, Cyberse).
