Pikeru's ability allows the player to get a wonderful encounter. To improve this ability, the player has to level up the spirit by [[Summon]]ing the corresponding card in a Duel and winning.

The player can ocasionally encounter White Magician Pikeru in the [[Grace]] [[Duel Worlds (WC08-VG)|Duel World]], where she asks if the player can gift her a cute card. (Cards that qualify include "[[Kuriboh]]", "[[Baby Dragon]]", and "[[Dark Magician Girl]]".) She will express how much she likes the card, if at all, before disappearing and having [[Ebon Magician Curran (character)|Ebon Magician Curran]] appear in Grace to duel one time. Curran will disappear after the duel as well, and the process has to be repeated from the beginning in order to keep on meeting Pikeru and dueling Curran. Pikeru will not appear in Grace while Curran can be dueled.
If the player gives Pikeru 5 cards she strongly likes, she will be unlocked as an a Single Duel opponent in Free Duel World Championship Mode. {{clear left}} [[File:PikeruDL-WC08.png|thumb|left]]
