Syrus has "[[Patroid (anime)|Patroid]]" and "[[Submarineroid (later anime)|Submarineroid]]" on the field, while his opponent has "[[Gagagigo (anime)|Gagagigo]]" and "[[Amphibian Beast (anime)|Amphibian Beast]]". Syrus defeats him with a direct attack using the [[card effect|effect]] of "Submarineroid". In doing so, he wins his opponent's [[Genex Medallion]] and [[Jaden Yuki]] comments that Syrus is getting much better, but questions why Syrus has not been using "[[Power Bond (later anime)|Power Bond]]". Syrus explains that he will include "Power Bond" in his Deck when he can use it in a Respect Duel. Just then, [[Tyranno Hassleberry]] calls them, telling them that [[Zane Truesdale]] and [[Aster Phoenix]] are in front of [[Duel Academy]] and about to Duel.
