Fishman-Beast was mentioned in an explanation of the different [[Terrain|fields]] on the [[Duelist Kingdom (island)|Duelist Kingdom island]]. It was one of the Types that benefited from the [[Ocean]] field.<ref>{{chapter|Yu-Gi-Oh!|66|ref}}</ref>
Based on the name, these monsters would perhaps visually have been anthropomorphic fish. Such creatures from this era of the franchise include "[[Great White (manga)|Great White]]", which was released in the ''OCG'' as a [[Fish]]-Type, and "[[Half-Fish Man]]" which has never been physically released.
