DIVINE was originally not a legal Attribute, and as of yet, has no support. However, with the inclusion of the first legal "Egyptian God" Card, "Obelisk the Tormentor" as a V Jump promotional card with the February 2009 issue, it was the first "Official" Monster Card of the "Divine" Attribute. With the release of the "Legal" versions of "The Winged Dragon of Ra", "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" there are a total of 4 monsters with the "Divine" Attribute. As of yet, this Attribute has no support in the OCG or TCG.
DIVINE monsters exist in the manga and anime as a playable archetype. DIVINE monsters are also featured in various video games, usually as Effect Monsters.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga, the "Wicked Gods" are considered as DIVINE, but when they were released in real life, they had their Attribute changed to DARK, making them then-tournament Legallegal.
Besides the "Wicked Gods" and the "Egyptian Gods", in episode 117 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's an introduction to the Three "Aesir" was made, these being the first DIVINE Attribute Synchro Monsters ever seen. All of them are properties to the members of Team Ragnarok. However, in the TCG/OCG and the English Anime, their Attributes were changed: "Thor" was changed to be EARTH, "Loki" was changed to be DARK, and "Odin" was changed to be LIGHT. Also, while the "Aesir" were DIVINE Monsters, all of the cards that gave direct support to "Aesir" actually gave support to the DIVINE Attribute.
