* What appeared to be an early version of "[[Newdoria]]" appeared as one of the Duel Spirits menacing [[Mokuba Kaiba]] after the Capsule Monsters match in the manga.
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 122|episode 122]], [[Yami Marik]] plays uses this card during the four-way [[Battle Royal]] in the Battle City Finalsbetween himself, Yami Yugi, [[Joey Wheeler]], and [[Seto Kaiba]]. He summons this card in Defense Position. In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 123|the next episode]], he Yami Marik switches this monster card into Attack Position and uses it to attack [[Seto Kaiba]]'s "[[Vorse Raider]]". "Vorse Raider" destroys this card, but this activates this card's effect, destroying "Vorse Raider". Yami Marik then activates "[[Spell of Pain]]" to make [[Joey Wheeler]] take all the Battle Damage he would have taken from the attack.
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 148|episode 148]], when [[Rex Raptor]] and [[Weevil Underwood]] were imagining why [[Maximillion Pegasus]] had invited [[Yugi Muto]] to [[Industrial Illusions]], their fantasy included Yugi holding a bunch of cards, including this one.
