Tips[edit]

There's a Tips link at near the bottom of Card Articles in the Other Card Information section. Please posts tips here rather than the talk page. Thank you. -- Deltaneos 12:53, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Burn Deck[edit]

Some common cards in Burn Decks include: "Just Desserts", "Magic Cylinder", "Ojama Trio" and "Chain Strike".

"Morphing Jar" is also useful since your hand empties out a lot quicker than your opponent's.

You can use stall cards like "Gravity Bind", "Level Limit - Area B" and "Messenger of Peace" to stop your opponent attacking, without worrying about them also stopping yourself attacking, since you won't be needing to.

You can find more info on the Burn Deck page. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:20, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Deck[edit]

Hey there CrazySmurf. Welcome to yugioh wikia. I'd like to help out your Dragon deck big time because you have some good spirit I like. This post is long, sorry.

Let's get started then.

Number 1: Remove your banned cards. These are cards that are forbidden in the advanced format of the Yugioh game--in other words, the most common type of gameplay. Below is a list of some of the banned cards at first glance. You should remove them.

  • Harpie's Feather Duster
  • Change of Heart
  • Call of the Haunted

Number 2: Let's remove your unnecessary cards. A lot of cards right now in your deck are cards you will not need or even use most of the time throughout your gameplay. You should remove them, but if you REALLY REALLY want to keep them, then I cannot keep you from doing so. Even so, I'm going to make very minor suggestions. In truth, there's a lot more you don't need.

  • Lord of D. (this card is useless without the The Flute of Summoning Dragon. Even so, it is not a good choice without putting at least 2 for each; dead draw)
  • Hyozanryu (not a good deal for 7 stars; dead draw)
  • Remove Trap (not many face-up trap cards; dead draw)
  • Dragon Capture Jar (it traps your own dragons too!)

Number 3: Additions. There are some staple cards that almost every deck kinda needs. Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, and Heavy Storm are 3 staples I usually keep in every single deck I make. If you have more than one Mausoleum of the Emperor, I suggest you put all 3 into this deck.

I hope these small edits will help you out! If you ever have any questions, you can post on my Discussion page. Cheers and have fun! Chris427 00:34, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Chris427

Hero Deck[edit]

Ok well, to tell you the truth, I'm actually not very experienced at making hero decks. After my suggestion you should go find someone with a little more hero experience as I don't use them. I'll do this like the dragon deck above. Note: Include all your fusion cards that you will be needing for this deck. Separate them from your monsters but keep them in the monster column.

Number 1: Remove the unnecessary cards. Most decks that are often ineffective in the long-run are those who sort of stray from the main purpose of the deck. Obviously your deck is a hero deck, but within the deck, there is an underlying strategy to win. In Heroes' case, it would be the versatility and their ability to fuse into many different fusion monsters to gain advantage in different situations. Below are cards you won't be needing. Remember, this is a 'minor' edit.

  • Cyber-Tech Alligator: It may be like a summoned skull--2500 atk with only one tribute, but it's just not very relevant to your deck.
  • Gemini Elf: It's not very relevant to your deck and not very effective in many cases. Nowadays so many monsters can destroy a 1900 atk monster like this one that has no effect.
  • Giant Rat: Not all elemental heroes are Earth typed. Let's keep it to a variety.
  • Poison Mummy: Not relevant at all. It's a burn card that really just came out of nowhere.
  • Destiny Hero - Dunker: Well... you have no Destiny Heroes in your deck. I don't think you'll be needing this card. There are three types of heroes. Elemental, Destiny, and Evil. Try not to stray if not use collaborative means between them.
  • Lucky Iron Axe: This card is pretty good... but not the best. It's not so much of a use to you because you want to prioritize other cards. Your choice to keep or not.
  • Rush Recklessly: An equip is much more effective than this. Take it out.
  • Banner of Courage: 200 attack doesn't offer much. In certain cases they may be, but take it out and prioritize cards that focus on elemental heroes.
  • Lightning Blade: While it's much more sufficient, you should prioritize hero spell/trap support cards.
  • Fake Trap: You don't have that many traps to defend, so you should take it out. And even if you do use it, it'll just let your opponent know the ones that weren't destroyed are traps.
  • Big Bang Shot: Prioritize your HERO spells.

Number 2: Additions. Now that I've taken 11 cards out, your deck is now cut down to 29 cards. Time to prioritize things! After you add your fusions, I'll come back and edit some more.

  • Put one more of each H.E.R.O spell card in your deck so you have 2 of each. Your deck is now 33 cards.
  • Next, put 2 more Hero Signal so you have 3 in your deck. Your deck is now 35 cards.
  • Next, put 2 more Hero Counterattack so you have 3 in your deck. Your deck is now 37 cards.
  • Add Polymerization because I just found out you were missing it. You can't make elemental heroes work without their fusions!!! Remember, Polymerization is limited to 1 card per deck, so now it is 38 cards.
  • Add 1 more Wroughtweiler in your deck so you have 2. Now you have 39 cards.
  • Finally, add a Fusion Weapon which makes your deck at 40 cards.

So there are your minor edits for now. When you have decided which fusions you will be using, message me again and I'll make more edits. My edits right now are very minor, I have to repeat that. They don't include all the 'necessary' cards a Hero deck requires. Check this guy's elemetal hero deck for a better feel: Godneosone >>>Chris427 23:17, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Chris427
