* Hello, I’d like to help create Deck Guides

Before I say anything else, I'd like to apologize to a few people for the Alien deck page incident. At the time I misunderstood the rules of the wiki, so I'm deeply sorry if I caused any one problems with that. (I was known as Joker Yaffle then)

Annywaays, I'd like to apply to become a Deck Guide maker. I'm a skilled Frog, Ojama and Alien user(Aliens esp.) Decks I've made for these deck types have been praised well by many that I've played locals in. They often say "Wow, its nice to see such under used/appreciated archtypes be used in a well built deck." This may be meaningless to you because, well, I usually don't participate in the forums and whatnot posting deck help and stuff. I usually just use this wikia for rulings and looking up cards... but when I saw this "Deck Guide" idea, I really wanted to jump in and help. Helping new users of deck types to better understand them, I'd really like to do that. Esp. for Aliens. I see many Alien users flounder about not knowing where to go with their Alien deck, because there is so much to do with them. So by making a guide they will know what not to use, what to do and what deck variants perform well for the current meta.

Oh, and if you want further proof of me being a good deck builder for Aliens/Frogs/Ojamas you can ask around in the Yu-G-Oh! Thread of the Table Top Forum of Gaia Online. I suggest you talk with Toltirr, he knows me best. He is also a fellow skilled Alien user. Me and him discuss strategies and whatnot. :3 --Lifisali 00:00, 1 September 2009 (UTC)''

* Could I see an example of your decks and could you explain to me how each one works? --Tantara (talk) 00:05, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Alright, Tantara. I'll get busy posting my Alien deck then on my profile, with full expo on its strategy and whatnots. I'll post a message here again to let you know when I'm done. --Lifisali 00:30, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

*Its on my profile, so take a look Tantara. Pretty sure I got it right. I basically explained the cards and whatnot, with the strategy explained along the way. Good? Also it seems you'd like me to post one for Ojamas and Frogs too. Yes? --Lifisali 02:26, 1 September 2009 (UTC)''

* The idea was to do one for ojama and frogs as well. Your alien deck has only 15 monsters. --Tantara (talk) 02:37, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I'll get working on those Frogs and Ojama examples then. Oh, and the Alien deck has only 15 monsters for a reason. The deck only needs 15 monsters, and anymore simply clutters the deck anyways. I've learned this though the many countless test plays I've done. Unless of course when using the Evil Dragon Ananta variant of the deck, which it would bump the monster count up to 18. But I'll get further in depth with that when I'm writing the deck guide, but I'll make note of that on my profile page. --Lifisali 02:44, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

* I've fiddled around with Aliens (I was actually going to make it my main deck, but I got bored with it), so I know the archetype as well. I've also spoken and seen the decks of a few TCGplayer alien experts. Aliens need at least 17 monsters to alleviate the costs from all of their cards. And 3 snake rains is too many by the way. --Tantara (talk) 02:53, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Think you could give me some links so I can see these "expert" decks/conversations? And I've taken into consideration that maybe the monster count should be higher. Two Alien Greys made it 17, but I needed other more important things like PPV. Snake Rain at 3 is completely fine. Unless theres some hidden logic behind dropping it to 2? It speeds the deck up in so many ways, I really don't see why I'd want it to be only at 2. --Lifisali 03:08, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

* I'm pretty sure that Alien Grey's draw effect doesn't activate when it's destroyed by battle, making it difficult to use. Just type in Darklord Zerato Alien and Tcgplayer on google. You'll find the alien expert I was talking about. The hidden logic is that, by rule of thumb, you don't have cards that dump more more monsters that you have in your deck. You won't be able to use PPV without the monsters you need to tribute. On another thought, you do seem to know your aliens (ignoring the fact that you only had 16 monsters :P) --Tantara (talk) 03:14, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

"After this card has been flipped face-up, when it is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card."

Direct quote from Alien Grey's lore. According to that, I'm pretty sure it does. :

Ummm... is this some sort of test to see whether or not I'm legit? Because, after looking that deck list over 5 times, that certainly is not an expert Alien deck. Utterly horrible. Crop Circles? Corruption Cell A? Alien Skull? Really bad card choices there. He doesn't even run the proper amounts right. Alien Kid should be at three. Ruins should be in three. Mysterious Triangle should be at three. Missing quite a few things. Armory Arm, Threatening Roar, Avenging Knight Parshath. The only things that I approve of are Solidarity and United we Stand.

But I do see your logic with Snake Rain now. I don't worry about it though. If its really an issue, a couple Alien Greys can be fitted in then.

Something smells fishy. Your joking about that deck, right? --Lifisali 03:41, 1 September 2009 (UTC)''

* Don't judge him by his deck choices, I'm sure that they're all very thought out... Although I have to say, that's a pretty bad example of one of his decks... Disregard that poor example and consider that he's the alien expert on TCGPLAYER.COM! Tcgplayer and Pojo are the pinacle of all yugioh sites. One doesn't become an expert on TCGplayer without knowing what he's doing. I saw one of his alien decks that was pure genius. It ran 2 Rai-Oh, Prohibition, etc. It was ingenious. --Tantara (talk) 21:28, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

* I don't mean to be mean or rude, but just being honest. That guy had a few things right, but if thats the sort of thing you'd want on this website, then well... I don't even want to think about it. You'd be way better off with my kind of knowledge of Aliens, and many I know would agree with me. I'm just keeping the health of the community on wikia in mind, you know? These people want solid, not that sub-par stuff.

Okay, maybe I am sounding a bit uptight. But the truth is cold and hard.

Anyways, you still want those ojama and frog examples?

* Alright. I'll go along with what you say. I'm going to go have a long talk with this "expert" of yours though. If he is the expert of Aliens on TCGplayer, then I'm the Alien expert of Gaia Online. I've looked at his guide on tcgplayer. Decent. A few of the decks he listed there changed my mind about him. I myself wouldn't call him an expert, but at least he knows what he is doing. Somewhat.

I won't be writing those other two examples on my profile, though. As of now I don't even really care whether or not I'm accepted into this project; I'm writing a guide for Aliens on GO, so...*shrug*. But if you do let me do it for Wikia, then great. I'd be happy to.

BTW, I'm going to ask him why he isn't using Snake Rain. Oh, and never mind you. You don't seem to be very intelligent when it comes to Aliens, so me and your friend shall talk, debate and discuss the whatnots. --Lifisali 06:26, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

* Just so you know, it's not wise to tell someone that they're not smart when you're trying to be involved in one of their projects. Gaia Online is insignificant when compared to TCGplayer, just so you know. I'm amused that you consider yourself above Darklord when you play 15 monsters and play 3 snake rains, 2 Offering, and PPVs. This is the most amusing conversation that I've had in a long time, I'm actually going to log this... -Tantara (talk) 20:51, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

LOL[edit]

I find this conversation hilarious, not only does the guy not realize that I was kidding with him over a careless mistake a few bad deck choices, he gets angry as well. On top of that, he places himself over DarklordZerato (the TCGplayer Alien expert) and places Gaia Online over TCGplayer. --Tantara (talk) 21:17, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
