Lightning and Jin flee across the network, while explosions continue to burst behind them as The Shepherd swiftly eliminates the masses of Bits and Boots with blasts from his artificial arm without even bothering to Duel them. In pursuit of Lightning and Jin, Soulburner asks Flame why he means that the real fight is just starting, protesting that it has already been real. Flame replies that it will only be over when they have defeated Lightning, and Soulburner scowls and accelerates forwards.

<!--@Bohman explains what makes Ai special (the shot of Ai grouching at Bohman for digging up his past).-->

Around the false Ignis Tower in Windy's Cyberse, Ai angrily asks Bohman what he means by calling him special. Playmaker and Harlan listen quietly as Bohman, on 700 LP compared to Playmaker's 1550, explains that Ai has something that the other Ignis do not. He reveals that Lightning had been observing Ai before the Knights of Hanoi attacked the Cyberse. Dr. Kogami created the Ignis, and they in turn created their own world, the Cyberse, and they kept creating Data Material not only for the Cyberse, but also to evolve the network world. But there was a rebellious Ignis among them; Ai (shown bumping rears with Linkuriboh in a flashback before being sent flying) who lives his life by instinct, prioritizing his own enjoyment. Ai's mortified that Bohman is bringing up his embarrassing past, but Bohman emphasizes that a rebel like Ai is important. The Ignis may have free will, but they were created through studies and only think rationally, lacking senses that originate from instincts as other creatures do. The other five Ignis learned this by watching Ai, and in the end they each developed unique traits. He expresses interest in where Ai's instincts came from; maybe it's due to his Origin; Playmaker. Ai perks up and he asks if Bohman means that he's the greatest since he led everyone. Bohman replies that it doesn't; he's just saying that Ai is a rebel. Ai sweatdrops and he mutters at Bohman to go with the flow, and Bohman states that were everything to follow logic there would be no diversity, and in the long term this delays evolution, so in that regard Ai is valuable. Ai huffs and turns away, and to his surprise Bohman claims that this Duel proves Ai isn't superior, as Playmaker trusted Ai's instincts and is subsequently in this bad situation. Ai tells Bohman to be quiet since they have more LP than him, and Bohman asks if they're sure, suggesting that they resume their Duel. Playmaker warily turns to look back at Bohman, who points out that Playmaker's Battle Phase is over, so the effect of "Resume Mace" ends. "Cyberse Magician" falls from 6900 to 4400 ATK, and Bohman warns Playmaker that he'll suffer greatly for failing to defeat him this turn. Playmaker grimly notes that Bohman has less than 1000 LP, and Ai realizes in shock what that means. Playmaker confirms that Bohman will be able to use "Storm Access". Bohman agrees, and he tells them to witness his Skill as he accelerates towards the Data Storm surrounding the Ignis Tower as Harlan cheers him on.

<!--@Bohman emerges from the high-density Data Storm, having successfully used "Storm Access" (the shot of him after the light fades with the glowing card that looks like he's dabbing).-->

Bohman declares his turn and draws, and then he activates his Skill, the cross on his chest glowing. As Bohman approaches the Data Storm, Ai comments on its size and admits that he's getting bad flashbacks about the Tower of Hanoi. Beside the Data Storm, Bohman states that "Storm Access" makes a monster suited for the Duelist appear inside the Data Storm. As a large winged figure flies through the Data Storm, Bohman calls it a heroic figure that matches his current state and he holds up a glowing hand, explaining that once per Duel if he has 1000 or less LP, he can add one random Link Monster in the Data Storm to his Extra Deck. Declaring "Storm Access", Bohman plunges his arm into the Data Storm, roaring as red cracks begin to spread up his arm. Ai cries that Bohman's arm will be torn off, but with a wild cry, Bohman becomes enveloped in yellow light and rockets forwards and away from the Data Storm, much to Playmaker and Ai's shock. The light fades to reveal Bohman holding a glowing card, and he declares that this is his potential. Ai nervously wonders if Bohman got something good. Bohman activates the Quick-Play Spell Card, "Hydradrive Scabbard", Special Summoning a "Hydradrive Token" in Defense Position, and then he chants "Appear! The circuit that determines the truth!" He declares that the Summoning condition is one "Hydradrive" monster, and he sets the Token to Link Summon the Link-1 "Grand Hydradrive". Ai cries that it's the card that Bohman drew using "Storm Access"...or is it? Playmaker states that there's no way, and Ai agrees.

Bohman activates the effect of the Continuous Trap Card "Property Flash", Tributing a "Hydradrive" Link Monster to place a Property Counter on it, Tributing "Grand Hydradrive" and giving "Property Flash" four counters total. Bohman then activates the other effect of "Property Flash", sending it to the Graveyard to Special Summon a "Hydradrive" Link Monster from his Extra Deck whose Link Rating is equal to the number of Property Counters that it had. "Property Flash" had four counters, so Bohman Special Summons a Link-4 "Hydradrive" Link Monster. Ai is shocked to realize that Bohman is Summoning a Link-4, and Playmaker grits his teeth. Bohman tells his monster to appear - "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", which appears with 3000 ATK. Playmaker observes that this is Bohman's new power, and Bohman activates the effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" as it was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, placing four Hydradrive Counters on it and in addition to its original EARTH Attribute it is treated as WATER, FIRE and WIND. "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" holds up its staff and four blue lights wink on as elemental symbols are superimposed over its staff and then four energy serpents (one orange, one blue, one red and one green) enter it and cause it to shine with rainbow light. Ai is shocked that it has four Attributes and he admits that he has a super bad feeling about this. Playmaker notes that "Cyberse Magician" has 4400 ATK and that it will gain an extra 1000 when it battles a Link Monster, and Ai agrees that it will rise to 5400, but notes that Bohman will be able to double the ATK of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" to 6000 with "Judgment Arrows". Playmaker reminds him that the effect of "Cyberse Magician" will halve the damage, and Ai realizes that they'll only take 300 damage if "Cyberse Magician" is destroyed, so they'll still have LP left. Playmaker points out that's only if this is Bohman's only move.

Bohman agrees; he isn't done yet. He activates another effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", removing a Hydradrive Counter to roll a die and send all monsters Playmaker controls whose Attribute corresponds to the result to the Graveyard, then inflict 500 damage to him for each (as he explains this, the text box of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" is shown, detailing this effect). Playmaker gasps "What?!" and Ai is shocked that Bohman is using a luck-based strategy, as it's unlike an A.I. Bohman claims that odds mean luck, and the unpredictability of luck equals diversity and opens up new possibilities in Dueling; this is what Bohman has learned through his experiences so far. Accepting luck as his future, Bohman declares "Judgment Dice" as "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" taps its staff and releases the six rings from the top, which arrange into a sphere and begin to spin in a swirl of rainbow light; a identical sphere spinning in Bohman's hands. The sphere turns purple as the dice lands on a purple symbol, and Bohman declares that he has rolled the DARK Attribute. "Cyberse Magician" and "Cyberse Witch" both explode and Ai freaks out, asking if this is for real. Bohman reminds them that they will now take 500 damage for every monster that was sent to the the Graveyard, and "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch's" wings glow a blinding blue and lash Playmaker with energy waves, reducing his LP to 550. Bohman declares that now there are no monsters on Playmaker's field and he asks if he can survive his attacks. He declares battle, attacking directly with "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", whose wings glow blue again as it prepares to attack.

Playmaker activates the effect of the Equip Spell Card "Resume Mace" from his Graveyard, banishing two Equip Spells and a monster from his Graveyard to reduce the ATK of the attacking monster by the ATK of the banished monster. He banishes "Resume Mace" itself and "Suspend Wand" to banish "Dotscaper", and Bohman notes that "Dotscaper" has zero ATK, so it won't lower the ATK of "Hydradrive Monarch". Playmaker retorts that he knows that, and he activates the effect of "Dotscaper"; once per Duel he can Special Summon it when it is banished. Harlan realizes that Playmaker is intending to use it to shield himself, but Bohman declares that the effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" will mandate that both players have to Summon monsters with the same Attribute as it in Attack Position. "Dotscaper" appears and Ai freaks out, protesting that it has 0 ATK. But Playmaker activates the effect of "Linkuriboh" from his Graveyard, Tributing a Level 1 monster to Special Summon it. Ai grins that Bohman knows the effect of "Linkuriboh", doesn't he? Bohman doesn't respond, so Playmaker reminds him that he can Tribute it to lower the ATK of Bohman's attacking monster to zero until the end of the turn. "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch" falls to zero ATK, and Ai thanks "Linkuriboh" for its help before it explodes. Bohman chuckles, and he ends his turn. Ai wipes his forehead and he admits that was scary, and Bohman asks if Playmaker can keep up with him now that he's awakened. Playmaker doesn't respond, and Bohman smiles.

Playmaker declares his turn and draws, and Ai nervously mutters that they've been on the back foot for this entire Duel, and he states that it's clearly his fault and he apologizes. But Playmaker replies that it's not Ai's fault; he's just a hostage and Playmaker is the one making the decisions in this Duel. Ai is shocked that's what Playmaker meant, but Playmaker states that he still has a chance since has has 550 LP. Ai realizes that Playmaker intends to use "Storm Access", and he states that Playmaker still has a secret weapon. He tells Playmaker to look at his Duel Disk, and a screen pops up. Playmaker asks what it is, and Ai explains that he's been building a new program ever since he learned of the destruction of the Cyberse, and he just finished it. Playmaker comments on the timing, and Ai pops out of the Disk, admitting that he lied and that Playmaker could have always used it, Ai just kept it secret. Playmaker grins, commenting that's more like Ai. He accelerates towards the Data Storm, and Harlan grins, noting that Playmaker is doing what they expect, and Bohman agrees, finishing that Playmaker will use it. Playmaker accelerates vertically into the Data Storm, and as he moves within the layers of the Storm he activates his Skill. The lines on his bodysuit glow intensely, Ai's eye in his Duel Disk shines with purple light, and Playmaker's hand is engulfed in blue light as he declares "Neo Storm Access!" and sinks his hand into the winds. Harlan is shocked by the name, and Bohman asks what the light is. Playmaker explains that due to "Neo Storm Access", once per Duel while he has 1000 or less LP he can add a random Cyberse monster in the Data Storm to his Extra Deck. A glowing card materializes in Playmaker's hand, and he emerges from the Data Storm as the blue light that surrounds him fades. Bohman observes that Playmaker updated his Skill, and he observes that their instincts led to a new possibility and he comments that it's interesting.

Playmaker activates the effect of the Ritual Spell Card "Cynet Ritual" from his Graveyard since he controls no monsters, banishing it and a Ritual Monster from his Graveyard to Special Summon two "Cynet Tokens". Bohman begins to respond and readies his hands in the pose to use "Judgment Dice", but then lowers his hands, deciding that he should observe their new possibility. Playmaker chants "Appear! The circuit that leads to the future!" and sets the two "Cynet Tokens" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Cyberse Wicckid". Then Playmaker Special Summons "Backup Secretary" from his hand since he controls a Cyberse monster, and activates the effect of "Cyberse Wicckid" since he Special Summoned a monster to a zone it points to, allowing him to add "Cyberse Synchron" from his Deck to his hand, which he then Summons. Then he activates the effect of "Cyberse Synchron", allowing him to increase the Level of a Level 4 or lower monster by its original value. Bohman muses that he sees, deducing what new monster Playmaker instinctively drew, but he'll go no further. He activates the "Judgment Dice" effect of "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", and Playmaker and Ai are shocked to learn that Bohman can use the effect during their turn. Bohman generates a dice between his hands, and it lands on the DARK Attribute. Ai protests that it can't be DARK again, and Bohmam reminds them that all of their DARK monsters will be sent to the Graveyard and they will take 500 damage for each one. Playmaker controls two DARK monsters, "Cyberse Wicckid" and "Cyberse Synchron", so he'll take 1000 damage and Bohman will win.

Playmaker states that won't happen, and Bohman asks, "What?" Playmaker explains that since it was Link Summoned the effect of "Cyberse Wicckid" prevents Bohman's effects from affecting both "Cyberse Wicckid" and the Cyberse monster that it points to. "Cyberse Wicckid" generates an energy shield with its staff around both itself and "Cyberse Synchron", and Ai cheers, asking if Bohman sees the power of their bond. Harlan scoffs, calling it an annoying effect, and Playmaker continues with the effect of "Cyberse Synchron", whose ports glow blue, increasing the Level of "Backup Secretary" from 3 to 6. Then Playmaker tunes the Level 1 "Cyberse Synchron" with the Level 6 "Backup Secretary" and as the lines on his suit glow light green he chants "Flash of lightning! The unknown power transforms into a soaring dragon! Synchro Summon! Descend! Cyberse Quantum Dragon!" Bohman observes that this is the power created by their instincts, but notes that "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" only has 2500 ATK; can he defeat Bohman's monarch with that? Playmaker simply tells Bohman that he's coming, and "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" attacks "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch". As "Quantum Dragon" lunges forwards, Harlan wonders what Playmaker is thinking, attacking even though they can simply use "Judgment Arrows" to double the ATK of "Hydradrive Monarch" to 6000. But Playmaker activates the effect of "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" as it is battling a monster, returning that monster to Bohman's hand. Bohman gasps "What?!" and Playmaker declares "Driveback Shot". "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" flies through "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch", dissolving it into red particles that return to Bohamn's Duel Disk. Playmaker then activates an additional effect of "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" as "Driveback Shot" succeeded, allowing "Quantum Dragon" to attack again. He attacks directly, and Ai cries that they've won and tells Bohman to take this; "Bing boom bang" - "Quantum Encryption!" Playmaker orders, and "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" generates a sphere of black-blue data in its maw.

Descend! Cyberse Quantum Dragon!" <!--@Playmaker and Bohman's Speed Duel ends in a DRAW.-->

Bohman can't believe he has to do this, but regardless he activates the effect of the Quick-Play Spell "Hydradrive Scabbard" from his Graveyard as he was attacked directly while he had EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and WIND "Hydradrive" Link Monsters in his Graveyard, banishing it to halve the damage and then inflict it to both of them. Playmaker yells "What?!" and Ai realizes how much half the damage it. Harlan gasps that it's 1250, and if they both take that... "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" releases its "Quantum Encryption" attack, striking Bohman with a beam of dark data that releases a shockwave that pushes Playmaker back, reducing both of their LP to zero. Harlan comments in disgust that it's a tie, and he scoffs and flies past Playmaker, who scowls angrily at Bohman. Bohman tells Playmaker and Ai that he's ascertained both their powers, and he warns them that they will return; they will be the nightmare that defeats them, and they will settle this at a new stage. With that, Bohman and Harlan vanish into the distance, and Ai angrily asks why Bohman is talking tough when he's the one running away. Playmaker admits that Bohman's growth far exceeded his expectations, and he muses on Bohman, the evolving A.I. and he wonders how strong such a fearsome opponent will be the next time they meet.

<!--@Soulburner and Flame are surrounded by Bits and Boots, allowing Lightning to escape with Jin.-->

Lightning and Jin are still fleeing, and Lightning observes that Bohman and Playmaker's signals have vanished and that is seems that there was no winner. Still in pursuit with Soulburner, Flame snaps at Lightning to wait as they are his opponents, but before that a Bit and Boot ambush them, and their fellows quickly swarm around them. Soulburner glances around dismissively, and Flame cries that they're escaping - Lightning and Jin accelerate away and vanish into the distance. Soulburner scoffs at the notion of the Bits and Boots daring to interfere, and he asks Flame what they should do with them. Flame snorts that they'll just be wasting their energy against these weaklings and suggests a courageous retreat. Soulburner agrees, and they log out.

<!--@Ryoken visits Café Nom (the shot of him after he's just stood up to leave).-->

At Café Nom in the plaza, Kolter is wiping down tables when someone sits down behind him. Kolter cheerfully welcomes them, and the customer tells him that he's glad to see Kolter is safe. As Kolter realizes who he is, Ryoken states that Playmaker's strength would greatly diminish were Kolter to leave the front lines. Yusaku runs out and gasps Varis's name, still in his apron and with Ai emerging from his Duel Disk, who can't believe that Ryoken is here. Yusaku asks what Ryoken wants, and Ai asks if he's craving a hotdog. Ryoken comments that it seems that they let Bohman escape, and Ai expresses surprise that Ryoken knows that. Ryoken points out that the Hanoi monitor the entire network, just as the Ignis do. He prdocues a data card and tosses it to Yusaku, who asks what it is. Ryoken describes it as a get-well-gift, and Ai realizes that it's a program and he asks why Ryoken gave it to them in person. Ryoken claims that the Ignis would have noticed if he'd sent it through the network, and he admits that he doesn't know what they'll do, suggesting that they may attack Yusaku as they did Jin. Yusaku asks "Attack us?" and Ryoken explains that the program will protect them from attacks once they install it. Ai angrily asks Ryoken if he expects them to trust a program that he built, unaware that Yusaku has installed it without hesitation while he wasn't looking. A shiver runs through Ai, and Yusaku asks how it is. Ai admits that it's an incredible program. Ryoken stands up, his business concluded, and he walks away. Ai asks why Ryoken is giving it to them, pointing out that they're enemies aren't they? Ryoken stops, and he claims that all that he'll say is that the enemy of his enemy is his friend. As Ai realizes what Ryoken means, Ryoken tells them to survive this fight; if he does, then they'll settle things between them, before walking away.
