Outside, [[Risa Hayami|Hayami]] monitors his progress as a voice declares that the man won, and she's impressed that he won again. One of the staff states that the procedure is only about 70% finished, but their virtual [[Yusaku Fujiki|Playmaker]] stands no chance against him anymore. The other staffer disengages the lock and she ends the program, and the cloaked man emerges from his chamber.

Zaizen asks if this is really Playmaker, and [[Ai]] tells him that he's too distrusting. Zaizen recognizes the voice of the [[DARK|Dark]] [[Ignis]] and he comments that it's unusual that they'd come to meet him. Yusaku explains that the Ignis are monitoring the network, and Ai agrees that they'd be detected if they traveled through the net. Zaizen asks if something has happened, and Ai praises his instincts. He asks if something is there, and he heads towards the structure.

Earth asks if she knows something, and Aqua finishes healing his hands and she confirms that she does; the one who locked her up probably destroyed the Cyberse. She remembers finding Lightning in his cave, creating the "[[Judgment Arrows]]" card, and she realized what it was. Alerted to her presence, Lightning claimed that he was creating a new card to protect the Cyberse from mankind, but Aqua had promptly used her truth-detection powers, her eyes shining blue and Lightning admitted that it seemed pointless to hid it. Aqua noted that she'd sensed something dangerous from Lightning, and Lightning had admitted that she was the one he knew he should be worried about. He'd then imprisoned her, and Aqua had asked why Lightning was doing this, what was the point? Lightning had just transported her away, claiming that the Cyberse would be erased in order to further his plans and that he wouldn't let her interfere. In the present, Earth clutches his fist, vowing not to forgiven Lightning. Aqua whispers his name, but she suddenly senses something and she turns back, noting that they're being followed. Earth asks in shock if Lightning already found them, and Aqua explains that she isn't sensing the Light Ignis. The man in the hooded cape approaches them on a Duel Board, and as he does Kolter spots him on his screens and informs Playmaker and Soulburner that Earth appeared. He sends them Earth's location and urges them to get there immediately. Soulburner scowls that it's too far from him, so Playmaker tells them that he and Ai will go and he accelerates away.

Playmaker recognizes his voice in horror and he asks if it can be. The man throws aside his cloak - it's The Gore, but now thinner and dead-eyed. Playmaker and Ai can only gasp in utter shock as Gore states that he already challenged Earth to a Duel, but he'll deal with Playmaker afterwards. Playmaker grits his teeth, and Earth cuts in, insisting that he won't let Gore lay a hand on Aqua. They both declare "Speed Duel!" and accelerate forwards. He then activates the effect of "Rock Hammer", [[Tribute|Tributing]] it to [[Special Summon]] three "[[G Golem Token]]s" in [[Defense Position]]. He [[Summon chants in Yu-Gi-Oh! Earth Sets a card and declares battle, attacking Gore's Set monster with "Invalid Dolmen", which assembles its spikes into a larger one. Gore reveals that the monster he Set is "[[Dinowrestler Capaptera (later anime)|Dinowrestler Capaptera]]", which emerges from its card with its arms crossed with 0 [[DEF]], and Earth declares that the effect of "Invalid Dolmen" will allow it to inflict [[piercing]] battle damage as it blasts its assembled spike at "Capaptera". Gore activates the effect of "[[Dinowrestler Martial Ampelo (anime)|Dinowrestler Martial Ampelo]]" from his hand, sending it to the Graveyard as a "[[Dinowrestler]]" monster is battling a monster with higher ATK to prevent his monster's destruction and halve the battle damage he takes. The spike smashes into "Capaptera" and flings it away, and Gore falls to 2300 [[LP]]. Earth ends his turn.
