The monsters involved in the Contact Fusion are usually listed as [[Fusion Material]]s on the Fusion Monster. However, rarely, the monsters used in a Contact Fusion are [[Contact Fusion without listed Fusion Materials|fully distinct]] from the monsters listed as Fusion Materials, and are instead described in the Summoning conditions itself; in all such cases, these Fusion Monsters also have the condition that they can be Fusion Summoned normally.

Fusion Materials for a Contact Fusion are more often used from the [[field]] or [[Graveyard]], and can be [[Banishes Fusion Materials for Contact Fusion|banished]], [[Returns Fusion Materials for Contact Fusion to Deck|returned to the Deck]], [[Sends Fusion Materials for Contact Fusion to Graveyard|sent to the Graveyard]], or [[Tributes Fusion Materials for Contact Fusion|Tributed]].
