When you set a field card, and your opponent has an active field card, the active field card is not destroyed.

No, because you set instead of playing it, so officially the current Field spell remains. DracoX 05:38, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

can use majic jammer to neglest the field card???

Can I use majic jammer to neglest the field card???

Yes. Because they're subtype of Spell Cards, so every cards that affects Spell Cards also affects to them --Blackwings0605 15:19, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Field cards have the words "spell card 'symbol'" printed right on them. Are Field cards also considered a continuous spell card?

No. Field Spell cards are not considered Continuous Spells.

Does your field spell destroy your opponent's field spell?

Okay, so I know it says that you can only have one field spell out at a time. What happens if your opponent has one on the field? Is it destroyed? It says it isn't destroyed if it is set, but what if it is just played?--Qim1 21:36, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

It's not destroyed, it is just sent to the Graveyard, the only way to prevent this is Field Barrier, because the built-in defense of Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins, or Magical Citadel of Endymion won't protect them. Tomarctus 21:46, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

  • That makes sense. Thanks for the info. Though, doesn't destroying send cards to the graveyard as well? Is there a distinct difference? Plus, in the article it says it is destroyed. --Qim1 21:57, April 3, 2010 (UTC)
  • This also means for example that the effect of Geartown will activate. Tomarctus 22:09, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

With Geartown, there are 3 Sceneries.

  • Geartown is already active in this example (you control both Field Spells)

Activate:

Game mechanic's destroys Geartown
1) Another field spell is played to replace it

resolve:

1) The other field spell resolves
Geartown's optional effect of summoning a monster when it's destroyed cannot be used since the last thing is not Geartown being destroyed, but was the other field spell resolving. (You Missed the Timing)

or

  • Geartown is already active in this example (you control both Field Spells)

Activate:

Game mechanic's destroys Geartown
1) Another field spell is set, replacing Geartown

It was a set, nothing resolves:

Geartown's optional effect of summoning a monster when it's destroyed can be used since the last thing that happened was Geartown being destroyed.

or

  • Geartown is already active in this example (This Geartown is controlled by the opponent)

Activate:

1) Another field spell is played to replace it

resolve:

1) The other field spell resolves
Game mechanic's destroys Geartown
The opponent's Geartown's optional effect of summoning a monster when it's destroyed can be used since the last thing that happened was Geartown being destroyed.

Turbo Duels

Can you use these in Turbo Duels, and if not should that be mentioned? Idiot's page Future ruler of the world's talk 11:19, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Speed World is a Field Spell which can't be destroyed. So I doubt it.
Not worth mentioning, since Speed Spells aren't part of the IRL TCG/OCG Card Game. Falzar FZ 11:21, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
