With "Cost Down", discard "Lightserpent" to decrease this card's Level by 2 (Lv 5 → 3). "Lightserpent" will Special Summon itself from the Graveyard since its effect is a compulsory effect. Normal Summon this card, add a "Constellar" monster to your hand by its effect, and Xyz Summon a Rank 3 Xyz Monster.

This is the best target for monster effects such as "Constellar Rasalhague" and "Call of the Haunted", because you get its effect even when it's Special Summoned, unlike "Constellar Sheratan".
