'''Normal Summon''' (通常召喚 ''Tsūjō Shōkan'', somtimes sometimes simply called '''Summon''' in [[OCG]]) is the most common way to [[Summon]] [[monster]]s. It can only be performed when the [[game state]] is open during your [[Main Phase]]. You simply play a monster directly from your [[hand]] onto the [[Monster Card Zone]] in [[face-up]] [[Attack Position]].
A Normal Summon can only be conducted once per [[turn]], even if it was [[negate]]d by a card like "[[Forced Back]]". A Normal Summon will take up your [[Normal Set]] for the turn, and vice-versa.
