* A word of note: Diamond Dude WILL NOT activate spells in such a way that spell counters will be generated. The wording on "Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude" says that "you can activate its effect", which does not mean the same thing as regular "activate". In simple terms, the effect, NOT THE CARD (which is required for spell counter generation given the current cards) will be activated. (Then again, you don't pay costs or need to fulfill requirements on the cards that you can activate.)

* Use practical normal spells with a cost/activation requirement that's possible to fulfill in your deck, like "[[Lightning Vortex]]" so that you do not get stuck if you draw them. For example, "[[Destiny Draw]]" is a better choice over "[[The Beginning of the End]]" due to being easily usable without this card's effect. You can also use "[[A Feather of the Phoenix]]" or "[[Pigeonholing Books of Spell]]" to make getting this effect easier.

** "[[Summoner Monk]]" can help you discard a spell should you draw a normal spell at a bad time, like "[[Magical Stone Excavation]]", while letting you get another copy of this card.

  • If you run a Destiny Hero Deck, you may use Veil of Darkness to thin your Deck till a Normal Spell is drawn. Then, just use Card Trader to get back Dead Draw Spells back to your Deck, as well as getting to draw this monster and shuffling your Deck in order to get a Normal Spell at the top of your Deck.
  • Also, you can activate the effects of most monster-specific and cost-effective cards:
  • "Big Eye" can help you get the cards you want on top of your deck.
  • A word of note: Diamond Dude WILL NOT activate spells in such a way that spell counters will be generated.
  • Use this monster's effect to activate "Trade-In", turning it into a costless "Pot of Greed", thus granting an instant Draw Engine
    • Alternately, you may use Diamond Dude's effect to activate "Spell Reproduction", allowing to recover a Spell from your grave with no cost.
  • Combine with "Plaguespreader Zombie" to place dead draw spells on top of your deck before you use it's effect
