- This is the toonified version of "Red Archery Girl".
- This card appears in the back cover of "Toon World".
- In the game Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses, this card was edited to have more clothing, somewhat like how "Red Archery Girl" was edited in the TCG in contrast to the OCG.
- Unlike other Toon monsters, "Toon Mermaid" does not keep part of its non-Toon counterpart's name, "Red Archery Girl". (In the OCG, "Red Archery Girl" is called "Bow Wielding Mermaid").
- Unlike "Red Archery Girl", "Toon Mermaid" is uncensored.
