He used its effect to destroy one of Yugi's face-down cards, thinking it's the Swords of Revealing Light, but it turns out to be Spellbinding Circle. The Trap Card redirected one of Panik's attacks towards the Reaper, destroying it. In the anime, it targets Spell Cards instead of Trap Cards and is not a flip effect.
