No during the turn dark magic curtain is activated, no summon may be performed. If a summon has already been performed, dark magic curtain cannot be activated.

Is there any good technique and using DARK MAGIC CURTAIN DARK MAGICIAN?

I have a friend that likes to use Dark Magic Curtain, but he thinks he can also use it to summon out a Dark Magician Girl, and I tell him he can't. Can he use that card to summon her out, or is it just for Dark Magician?

Anime Summoning Question

Well, in Anime, it could special summon the Spellcaster with name "Dark Magician", which mean it could summon either male or female version (Original or DMG) while in Real Life, it's limited to just 1 dude - "Dark Magician". That's just my theory since that's only appearance in the show and it only showed summon both Dark Magician/Dark Magician Girl directly.

Again, the Arkana once said, "I activate this spell card to pay half life point and special summon 1 'Dark Magician' monster from my deck."
