Raging Battle

The Core Chimairs are a family of Monsters that will be released in Raging Battle.

Most effects of these cards are targeted to send Core-Chimair's Steel Core or a monster from the same Type from your hand to the Graveyard (Except for Core Chimair Valafar which doesn't give a monster sending option). Also, if the controller doesn't send any cards from the above, that Core Chimair is destroyed.

Playing Style

To date, all of the Core Chimair has the self Hand Destruction effect. The main strategy of the Core Chimairs is "Anti-Meta" - A Deck build which oppose the popular Decks that are played. For example, Core Chimair Dragon's effect was designed specially to oppose Lightsworns and Dark Armed Return Decks for their Swarming capabilities. Another example is an Anti-Alien effect - being destroyed at the End Phase after their control has been swichted.

Optional Support Cards

  • Creature Swap - This card effect allow you to swap a Core Chimair for a stronger monster. Most of the chances your opponent won't have Core-Chimair's Steel Core. However, he can have a monster from the same Type.

Weaknesses and Counter-Strategies

  • The Core Chimair's great weakness is their effect which destroys them in case Core-Chimair's Steel Core or a monster from the same Type didn't send by their effects.
  • A great counter strategy is simply having Goblin of Greed face up.
