Raging Battle

The Core Chimairs are a family of Monsters that will be released in Raging Battle.

Most effects of these cards are targeted to send Core-Chimair's Steel Core or a monster from the same Type from your hand to the Graveyard (Except for Core Chimair Valafar which doesn't give a monster sending option). Also, if the controller doesn't send any cards from the above, that Core Chimair is destroyed.

Playing Style

To date, all of the Core Chimair has the self Hand Destruction effect. The main strategy of the Core Chimairs is "Anti-Meta" - A Deck build which oppose the popular Decks that are played. For example, Core Chimair Drago's effect was designed specially to oppose Lightsworns and Dark Armed Return Decks for their Swarming capabilities.

Weaknesses and Counter-Strategies

  • The Core Chimair's great weakness is their effect which destroys them in case Core-Chimair's Steel Core or a monster from the same Type didn't send by their effects. Also your opponent can take out your Core-Chimair's Steel Core in your hand, so you could have trouble keeping them out.
