Fang of Critias fuses with Trap Cards, but Claw of Hermos does not fuse with Spell Cards. This is the dragon Joey used in the series with Atlantis. Hermos fused with a monster card to form an Equip Spell Card. If you still don't believe me, watch the anime again if you have it on DVD or something.

My source is the show's actual ending credits seen at the end of the episode, a primary source of information. The first season of GX didn't just use the same static batch of names throughout all 52 episodes; some credit sets were used over a span of a few episodes while 16-23's credits were edited specifically for each specific episode (ex. adding Marc Thompson for Dimitri (18-19), Liza Jacqueline for Blair (20), Andrew Rannells for Balowski (23), etc.). One change of credit sets occurred between episodes 26 and 27, which is also when one can hear a change in Alexis' portrayal (she didn't necessarily "chill out" or "get nicer;" the new actress just her a younger, more engaging performance than the original (older and more uptight) one did. The episodes are on Hulu and linked through IMDb if you want to check for yourself. You said you can't fuse Spell Cards, but the Fang of Critias fuses with Trap Cards and you can't do that, but these cards don't exist in the real game. We don't all the rules in the Anime.

::This has nothing to do with Light/Darkness. The Seal of Orichalcos is an ancient magic that cannot be destroyed by anything. The Dragons were actually knights (the knights are monster cards), but Dartz turn them into dragons to weaken them and then froze them in the Duel Monsters World. The Knights were meant to fight the Seal, so that's why they can't mix. In the real game, Light and Dark can mix. AnnaV 16:03, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

::I didn't miss count the damage. Right before Yugi activated the Seal of Orichalcos, he had the following monsters in his Graveyard: Gazelle, Berformet, Big Shield Gardna, Kuribabylon, Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast, the monster that Yugi discarded to activate Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight's effect, and the five Kuriboh brothers. That totals to 11 monsters, but Yugi only lost 600 Life Points, so that means the 5 Kuriboh brothers didn't count, so they couldn't be in the Graveyard. They could be tokens because tokens can have an ATK or DEF values, and some card effects allow Removed monsters to be Special Summoned to the field, so that could be another case. AnnaV 21:38, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Did it show what card Yugi discarded to activate Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight's effect?  I had been wondering wether Dark Magician Girl was sent to the graveyard  or removed from play when she is tributed to summon Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight.  So if we do know that Yugi discarded a monster she must have been removed from play.

I just put in the correct card effect according to the Japanese version. If you want to really know card effects from the anime, you can't just watch the Duel once. You have watch it over and over again if you have the time. I had to watch the Duel between Dartz, Yugi, and Seto at least 10 times before getting to know the card effects.
