  • This is the second "Chaos Number" monster. The first is "Number C39: Utopia Ray".
    • Incidentally, they are both Cover Cards.
    • Following up on their evolutions, they both have an extra name added - "Ray" and "Vice" respectively.
    • Also, if summoned normally, both require 1 more Xyz Material than their original versions and require monsters of the same Attribute as themselves.
    • Both also need a specific maximum of Life Points for their effects to activate.
    • While "Number 39: Utopia" is originally light-colored and its Chaos Number counterpart is dark-colored, this monster's color scheme is the opposite, going from a dark-colored Number to a light-colored Chaos Number.
  • The "Vice" in this card's name could have multiple meanings:
    • It could be from how a shark's teeth clamp down hard when it bites, like a vicegrip.
    • "Vice" (バイス Baisu) is also part of the Japanese name for Shark's first Number, "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" (Japanese name is No. 17 Revise Dragon, with "Vise" written using the same kana as "Vice" due to their identical sounds).
      • Also, Leviathan Dragon's attack in the anime was called "Vice Stream".
    • It could also be from "Vice" in the context of a sin, showing how this Chaos Number is evil, as opposed to the other Chaos Number, "Utopia Ray", which is good.
  • In the anime, when this card removes an Xyz Material, this card eats it. Then, it shoots a blast into the ground which reveals the graveyard, and the monster it banishes for its effect emerges from the grave and attacks the targeted monster to reduce its ATK.
  • This is the first Xyz Monster that can be Xyz Summoned with more than 3 Xyz Materials.
  • This monster bears a slight resemblance to the NirvashTypeZERO and NirvashTypeTheEND from the mecha series Eureka Seven.
